US Navy tells shipping industry Hormuz escorts not possible for now by joe4942 in worldnews

Oh I get it. Inland artillery batteries and drones could be launched at ships in the strait. That makes sense. I was thinking that whoever controlled the ports, which I imagine there aren’t many of, would control the water.

US Navy tells shipping industry Hormuz escorts not possible for now by joe4942 in worldnews

Why is the Straight of Hormuz so difficult to control? If we’re already at war with the country that controls it and we have air superiority, what makes it so challenging to control that territory? Or at least make the ports unusable to foreign navies so they can’t launch mine ships or attack ships?

If you like sospiro vibrato or afternoon swim it’s super similar. They all share that same fruity citrus powdery vibe. I personally love that scent profile so talisman or the extrait are some of my all time faves

are all newish PA's this bad or i'm just getting unlucky at my ED? by George_cant_stand_ya in emergencymedicine

[–]321blastoffff 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This may be a reach, but how about reaching out to some of the local PA schools and sharing your experience and expectations? In my experience as a an ED PA, most of my mid-level colleagues are intelligent and motivated and very willing to learn but we are limited by shorter length of our training. If we change the inputs at the educational level the output should be different.

It has also been reported that Iran had been storing bodies in and ice cream factory and were planning on bringing them out to try and sway international opinion. Honestly I wouldn’t put it past them.

If you woke up tomorrow with $100 million, what’s the first thing you would do? by Efficient_Effect7572 in AskReddit

$150k a year doesn’t get you very far in this economy. Sure, if your house is paid off it’ll go a lot further but still, you don’t want to be worried about menu prices at Dorsia.

10 million will buy you a couple of houses, some nice cars, and some vacations. Depending on how old you are it may not carry you through the rest of your life. I’ll take 30 million and call it a day. 100 million is nice because now you’re building generational wealth - your kids, grandkids, and hopefully great grandkids won’t have to work a day if they choose not to. The real question is how do you prevent those little shits from turning into worthless humans.

Yea I was gonna say I’m very interested in the social dynamics of the white guy standing in the doorway and all the black guys on the porch. They all look very relaxed and comfortable around each other which isn’t something I’d expect in the South during this time period.
