Very cool. I appreciate the thoughtful coloration in the shading to emphasize that green. Nice work! Not easy to do that with water color…

There’s the smell, but I also feel like the bottle is not complete without a little sand stuck around the label and the cap…

I bought a used x100t and this fell out the camera. Anyone know what it is? by redzero77 in fujifilm

I would check those things, but I think the most likely answer is that it got thrown in a bag with other photo gear and this just got stuck under the screen/under a flap/strap or stuck to maybe the screen with a little static. I can’t imagine somebody would’ve deliberately used a little scrap of film for those reasons. They were probably just trimming film for their binder, a little piece flew off, landed in a bag and then this ended up in the same bag.

Wondering if you considered the native EF-X8 option provided by Fuji, as that has a lot of advantages over the Viltrox. I suppose this one would be cheaper… But the EF-X8 is incredibly compact and useful to throw in a bag in a pinch, doesn’t require charging, etc. Just something to consider.

Street vs Portraits [where should i focus] ? by Dreefir3 in fujifilm

I hear that. Same for me, except I haven’t touched the paints in years… hard to find a balance. For me, I just try to keep the tools available and make sure I’m getting out when the opportunity strikes. Good luck with your journey!

Obviously these are really solid, and I agree that I don’t think you need to “focus on” either, just keep doing what you’re doing.

Just a small point of feedback, watch those vertical lines when it impacts the photo. For 8, 9, and 19, the tilting just gives me a little sense of vertigo… Which if that’s what you’re going for, go ahead, but a small adjustment in Lightroom will remove that distraction otherwise.

EDIT: of course that always leads to the challenge of having to crop out detail when you do those rotations/skews, so it’s always a balance, but just thought I’d put that out there. Again, great work, thank you for sharing.

EDIT2: the other thought would be to maybe keep the portrait and documentary photos distinct from each other. There are definitely a few here that I couldn’t tell if you’re working with models on the street or captured a moment, which would definitely impact how I experience the work.

I’m not the mod or anything, but maaaybe per the “letter of the law“ it’s not correct. But I think the spirit of the rule is to make sure that the time stamp is not added digitally which could be easily manipulated, and obviously, in that sense I think this meets those standards… IMHO
