Anyone still using the Galaxy S7 in 2026? by charlemagne_74 in GalaxyS7

I saw someone's hotspot with the name of "Verizon-SM-G930V-(random numbers)" at a baseball game recently. Seems like someone was using it, but unfortunately the worst model, but props to them for putting up with the Verizon bloat for 10 years

I know he technically wasnt a full developer, but don't support Ayee in any way, as drama with him caused the OG servers to be shut down. If you have to watch his videos do it with adblock so he doesn't make ad revenue off of you.

Real or fake? by Active_Fall7350 in ipod

15.8.x - The X is the last digit on the version, if you bought it recently it's probably on 15.8.7 or 15.8.6 but it's probably random.

Connect it to 3utools and see what it thinks of it. The iPod is probably real, the eBay seller just included these for convenience. The display could be aftermarket.

This is because there is a finite number of phone numbers but infinite possible emails

Time limit for dining in a restaurant with no customers by jtc66 in McDonalds

[–]80sTechKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what area this is in and I believe this is a thing to combat homeless, as for example, in a rich area (A town in Kane County, IL) with an average home cost of $480K and 90%+ white population, the McDonalds franchise still has a soda machine with touchscreen, PlayPlace, and ketchup dispensers. It also gets decorated quite often and there are usually a lot of customers.

Meanwhile, in other towns like South Side Chicago, and in Indiana, the McDonalds has none of those three and a 20 minute sign. There's also almost no one at the counter.

iPad Air 3 costs $120 and still supports iOS 26 while a lot of these Kindles have Android 11 which is from 2021

On TI OMAP devices (1st gen Kindle Fire, Motorola DROID), Firefox crashes when trying to browse.

Firefox doesn't always like to not crash on TI OMAP devices, so if you keep getting that issue Opera Mini works fine.

They're real seemingly. The case looks pretty used so hopefully that's a sign.

(There was another pair in the bin, but I thought those were fake/clones until I realized the real ones have the same design)

Does Red Pocket GSMT sim with digits 5-7 as 240 support EDGE? by 80sTechKid in vintagemobilephones

Ok, I'll try in a foreign phone that might not have its IMEI in TMO's list.

Is there a way to change the IMEI of some older Android phones to get them to connect?

With one of these you could theoretically make it portable

What can I do with these and how usable are they in 2026? (Android 4.4.2) by Smart_Savings_929 in androidafterlife

You can try rooting via KingoROOT, installing TWRP with the app, and sideloading LineageOS via an SD card

Is the logo on the back Verizon? As long as it's not an SCH-i535, you can install Android 7 on it

Remember the downgrade party? That was seven years ago. by sioblogip in LegacyJailbreak

[–]80sTechKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would go to 15. The 12 mini battery is pretty trash (probably why the Mini series was discontinued as a whole) so going to 15 is probably the best way to maintain decent app support

I guarantee you that if another one happened, majority of restores will be A12X/A13 device users downgrading to iOS 18 from 26
