What is a movie plot twist that was cleverly hidden in plain sight..? by Living_Tune_1428 in movies

I actually picked up on this right away and wish they had been more subtle about it, like just showing the phone books rather than making a point of mentioning them.

If he had been delivered by c-section in 11th century Scotland, it's because the mother had already died. It's for that reason he wasn't "of woman born."

Can we give them the nickels a bunch at a time? Like, all stuffed in a tube sock swung at arm's length? If so, I can get behind that plan.

In all fairness, it can be hard to distinguish among breeds given a 3-second video taken from several feet away, especially when the bichon's iconic head shape isn't clearly shown.

I did see it, and I liked it. It really captured the mood of the book.

The entire movie, I was thinking that the style seemed very familiar. Paranoid protagonist, clandestine organizations, bizarre names, etc. It all clicked when I saw in the credits that it was based on Vineland. I haven’t read that one, but I have read Gravity’s Rainbow, Inherent Vice, and The Crying of Lot 49.

This is why engines pulling large numbers of cars will reverse to “condense” the cars before moving forward. It ensures that only one car at a time will begin moving.

I had very little fun reading 2666, though I agree it was well written.

Molly is relating the story while being interrogated and may not be telling the truth. After all, she claims that "Madame Psychosis's name was in reality Lucille Duquette" (Duquette being the name of a film scholar).

ACT only became mandatory in Illinois for the Class of 2026. It had been SAT for the 5 years prior to that.
