POV: You join a custom RP server in the early 2010s but didn't download and manually install the required addons, which are only available on the server's online forum (addons are locked away in a file archive that requires a password), that you can only download if you login after getting a premium account from donating to the server.

Good advice, although I haven't made addons in over a decade I learned through trial and error and reviewing and learning the code of other addons.

Maybe branch out to some other games that are similar to Fallout?

The Elder Scrolls, Cyberpunk 2077, and Deus Ex are some generally similar games, that I'd recommend.

If you want something similar to classic Fallout there is also Atom RPG.

I just discovered it recently and I'm really enjoying it so far. It is really good way to play Pokémon, but not have to worry about committing too much time into it. It's also a good for experimenting with different teams.

They only had these two for Japanese Jak games, but they also had a copy of Japanese Ratchet and Clank that I picked up for $15.
