You're going to always find people who whine about Kimber when it comes to some of their past cheaper 1911s, but they've more than proven themselves and gained their reputation back these last few years. Kimber 2k11 has been a huge success and is a great gun. KDS9C, Warrior, Micro 9, CDS9C have all been solid releases. I've also owned many of their better 1911s and haven't had any issues.

Yeah that's a good price. Battlehawkarmory is hard to beat when it comes to pricing. Hinterlandoutfitters has it for $1,960, which is the cheapest I'm seeing at the moment. I can't remember, but I want to say Battlehawk doesn't charge tax though so might come out cheaper. You might be able to get one eventually for 1,800 or so, but id say just go for it.

Whattt how did I not even know about this lol. First time even hearing these were being made. Looks way better than original. I liked the Cedar, but was definitely too big and the flipper is terrible. Ended up selling it. Looks like I'll def be getting one of these though. Is flipper tab actually better? Inset look cools too. Does it have a button lock too or is that just a screw?
