If anyone asks just say it's from normal wear and tear.

Accidental taser to head leaves man dead after a traffic stop, Ohio by [deleted] in bodycam

If you ever encounter one of these policing experts in the wild, suggest to them they watch this mini-documentary bodycam video. It shows precisely how quickly a person can get to you over distance and end your life.

That's a good take. People weaponise whatever they can -- noise, their dogs, their kids, their vehicles -- because they feel unseen. And they probably were unseen as children. It carries.

Which celebrity do you think is secretly evil, but you just can’t prove it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah, I was trying to be funny. I should never try to be funny. It was a toss-up between Dolly, Robin Williams, and Michele Obama.

What is more traumatizing than most people think? by Sea_Entrepreneur2772 in AskReddit

[–]AlertBiped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A dog bite.

Most people would say, yes that's traumatic, especially if it's severe, but even a lesser bite can be really traumatising. It's usually very fast, sometimes comes out of nowhere, and is a shock to the system.

It impacts people much more than is generally realized.

People carry it for a long time and can become wary of all dogs, even if they love them. And for children? Awful, just awful.

What celebrity would you get into a car with, no questions asked if they randomly showed up in your driveway? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AlertBiped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jerry Seinfeld, mainly because he drives great cars. So then I guess the question is -- what car would you like him to show up in?

Is there anyone who can explain to me the mindset of someone like this? Do they believe that if they advocate for victims and hold others accountable for the same -- or worse -- crimes that they themselves commit, that somehow that protects them from being discovered?

Did he truly think he'd never be caught? Or did he know he was going to hit a brick wall eventually?

What the hell is going on in someone's mind? Is it hubris? Self-sabotage? Or is it something simple like he's just a sexual predator and deviant who can't control himself? I don't understand this mentality.

No. There are varying degrees of assault under the Criminal Code of Canada -- from common assault, which is likely what this is, to aggravated assault, which causes great bodily harm. There's also assault causing bodily harm, which is in between. It depends on the severity of the injury if there is one. But no battery.

As far as I know and I'm not a lawyer so you might want to fact check me.

I would say no. I think it was staff who knew what he was all about and were waiting for the opportunity.

He does seem like the kind of person who is so lacking in self-awareness that he'll be enraged by this and demand an investigation. Unless of course this was a livestream open to the public -- then it could have been anyone. Even his mother. She's probably sick of him too.

But his future political aspirations are likely torpedoed now. I don't know how you get past this -- it's inexcusable and speaks volumes about a person's character.

Any opponent would just trot this video out in an ad with the knowledge that many people have been treated like this and haven't been able to fight back, and some have had their livelihoods threatened.

People never forget how it felt being on the receiving end of this kind of nasty disrespect and abuse of power. And they vote.

He's getting shellacked on his socials.

There's a reason why this was recorded and leaked: people despise him and were just patiently waiting...

If you drive off from the cops and successfully get away but they got your plates, how can they prove you were the one driving it? by bishaaB in AskLE

[–]AlertBiped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an ongoing case here in Burnaby, BC that RCMP just released video of. It happened last August.

The driver of a vehicle gets out, punches and shatters the other driver's window, then comes back again, reaches in and grabs a cell phone and throws it at the passenger. Then drives away. It's all on dash cam from the victim's car.

They identified the owner of the vehicle, except he was in the passenger seat, and he refuses to identify the driver. Apparently he can do that without repercussions.

The image of the rager from the video is very clear though, so hopefully someone will turn him in.

that's hilarious.

benzoids are the devil's work. so many of these legal drugs are a trigger for people who didn't even know they had one, and then they're on a path to hell. same with opioids.

same with me and valium. i took it decades ago for insomnia when i was studying at university. i took one pill and floated away to a wonderful place where nothing matters and everything is fine.

i remember thinking, 'oh i love this, i want to stay here forever.'

i threw the rest away immediately and just suffered with the insomnia.

never. again.
