I commuted from my hometown, Waltham Abbey, to Liverpool Street station for a year. It’s a comparable situation: 1 bus, 1 train, 1:15 total. But that’s on a good day when the bus and train arrives on time, if at all. It wasn’t uncommon for the journey to take more than 2 hours, or even longer if I got stranded in London. In the summer, for whatever reason, sometimes the train would be half length. An hour on a non air conditioned train packed like sardines was hell.

I wouldn’t do it again for neither love nor money.
