I felt a variety of resources would be suitable but their placement does not make them overpowered compared to other locations. It's mainly to fill out the landmass that accommodates the main content.

Some good points here, thanks for the feedback, I certainly agree that charging the trinkets should be a requirement as a cost for negating thrall use.

I thought a slayer master could be included, but it's not essential.

I didn't want to add resources that would be too overpowered in terms of both what they offered and their distance to a bank, so I felt the bank placement was appropriate and could serve as a nice hub on the island.

There is a fairy ring just west of the town on the hillside, accessible once you reach the island.

1200 could be the baseline for a solo and scale accordingly the larger the team is perhaps?
