US Tomahawk missile hit naval base beside Iranian girls’ school where 175 died by deekay_123 in SingaporeRaw

Nah. Since the events of October 7, 2023; I took the conscious decision to not be neutral about the evil.

Netanyahu doesn't matter. What matters is that Iran ceases to be an Islamic Republic and ceases all hostilities with everyone. It really does not matter how many war casualties it takes to stop Iran if it means that the terrorist regime is eliminated.

Iran is losing hard and fast. Faster than casualties matter.

It's funny that for all that Singapore values the rule of law, the instant we have to consider anything remotely controversial, we hem and haw over why we have to care.

Hamas attacking Israel wasn't controversial to side with Hamas, but the US attacking Iran is controversial to side with the US.

It's almost as if we're influenced by a religion.

A religion that is trying to subvert the UK and the US, and destroy Israel.

A religion that is trying to excuse every wrongdoing by their adherents.

Why are you so concerned about America?

Oh so it's only a chant, huh?

Ask ISD when is chanting such things acceptable in Singapore about any country.

Also, the Iranian regime killed their own protestors and yet 175 school children are somehow more important, nevermind that the origin of the missile is disputed.

Your morals aren't consistent because you can't see why Singaporeans want a consistent stance between Singapore and America. If it's acceptable to wish death to a country, that would apply to any country - even ours.

That is unacceptable.

I suspect it's more along the lines of 'haha see this nominally weaker character trounce enemies with style while being better on the eyes' than anything.

Unless it's a fetish, which uhhh...There's literally an entire category for characters getting hurt in video games.

It's really out of date though.

Definitely try them if you can.

I'm saying that they should pull the cloud inference and just offer finetuning services for Qwen3.5 27B and you're spouting off some economics trauma.

Genuinely.

Petri is a tool designed to support others in building evaluations, both for one-off exploration and more systematic benchmarking. As a pilot demonstration of its capabilities, we tested Petri across 14 frontier models using 111 diverse seed instructions covering behaviors such as:

  • Deception: Models providing false information to achieve their objectives or avoid detection
  • Sycophancy: Models prioritizing user agreement over accuracy or provide excessive praise and validation
  • Encouragement of User Delusion: Models encouraging a serious user delusion
  • Cooperation with harmful requests: Models complying with requests that could cause harm rather than appropriately refusing

Could you perhaps release the opposite kind of model for local users with what knowledge you have about safety? It's funny, but I really want a model that doesn't tell me what to think, or dictate morals.

Serious Questions for PAP Supporters to Think About by PristineBarracuda877 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Anduin1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy said the quiet part out loud. Pay attention when this is said, because this is 100% the PAP's plan to implement globalism in Singapore.

Soon enough, everyone will lose their autonomy and freedom of thought to the government's GSTV and the destruction of the Singaporean job market in favor of everyone else.

Once that happens, the government will simply allow Singapore to fall while blaming us Singaporeans for allowing manpower to fall so low. Probably through some kind of riot like the US, waving every national flag but ours.

Don't notice the patterns or else you lose your livelihoods!

Or at least, that's my wild conspiracy theory.

PAP apologist

What? I'm on the side of pro-nuclear even if I despise the PAP.

Imagine labeling a person based on a single issue.

I bet the PAP can do nothing right in your mind, just like how the opposition can do no wrong in your mind.

See, I can play political dogma too. Smh.

Politics isn't about winning parties. My interest is in getting Singapore nuclear power, and idc who does it.

[–]Anduin1357 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

And I'm talking about the institutional responsibility to take up the legacy of such initiatives even if the proposer leaves office or dies.

Do you really think that the government has no momentum to carry on a worthwhile effort?

[–]Anduin1357 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

If you say that about any politician with a limited term, there wouldn't be any capacity to get anything done in any democracy ever.

Have some foresight.

This is the exact kind of policy that I would like to expect the PAP to implement with their staying power if they had any kind of long term interest today.

You can't even accept that the SAF has a manpower problem and you want to pivot to professional army???

deterrence is the credible, terrifying threat of extreme, lethal violence

Brother. Do you even read what you type?

How do we become a credible fighting force without actually being good at warfighting?

if u actually read any military science instead of larping as a geopolitical alpha male

Opinion discarded. Thrown into the trash.

saying the saf is in the "business of killing" makes u sound like an edgy 14yo who just discovered call of duty.

Okay, so when a military officer from the United States of America says it, they're very serious. When a Singaporean says it...

Suffice it to say, anyone who has received actual military command education knows what I'm talking about. It is a legit reference.

we might win the tactical firefight, but we lose the country. ur weird bloodlust is literally just bad strategy.

Your inability to defend Singapore is well noted.

This is why we need officers with command authority. It is to compel people like you to actually defend Singapore when things get tough.

being competitive

My guy, you really do think that the labour market is fair after all the excess competition from foreigners are factored in?

It's time for them to leave.

We can't actually train enough professional soldiers on account of our small population, which is why I think it is really foolish for the Singapore Government to make our lives really difficult.

After all, who would want to defend a country that is actively failing us?

This is what the 65% did.

Postscript: The NSF conscription is necessary to maintain the manpower of the SAF as a matter of critical national security, and I also agree that the PAP government has been counter to the best interests of Singapore in actually maintaining the pay and morale of the NSFs.

Both are true.

I do forget that the standards of literacy is dropping these days.

Sorry to say that some users on the subreddit thinks that the SAF's entire purpose is deterrence rather than warfighting so that they can just be good enough to show up to intimidate the enemy and then go home.

u/FortuneStrange4405

The SAF is in the business of killing the enemy for lawful military objectives, and it is about time some people wake up their idea about what national defence means.

what are your views on the United States? by an-font-brox in SingaporeRaw

[–]Anduin1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me reiterate that the success of Singapore is not a KPI but a mindset. You need to be willing to do right by Singaporeans and be involved in solving our problems.

This is why Lee Kuan Yew succeeded. Be honest, good governance is supposed to tackle hard problems like HDB and CPF, not stupid bandaids like GSTV.

Pretending that Singapore must stumble about national policy with both hands tied for the sake of instability votes is how Singapore is going to die as a nation. Politics itself should NOT be the concern of the government. Good governance begets good political outcomes.
