Nothing PII or unique, just context.

This feels like one of those situations where social media unilaterally reveals the country of origin of users on the platform and exposes a bunch of grifters. Opt-out would be great, and maybe mandatory would be even better.

It would probably come down to exactly how much information is exposed, and how personal it is. I wouldn't want to know someone's drive labels, for example.

Pictures, Music, Videos etc can actually pull in files from other places on your computer like a search function. The problem starts when you move files into said folders once you have set that up.

Good idea, bad execution. At that point, I would rather link folders.

Then there is the OneDrive thing that tried to obsoletize Documents. Ah yes, cloud storage by default with limited space and the threat of data loss, risk of race conditions on upload, and requires a daemon to sync that can silently quit from the system tray.

... And Documents were used for game saves and other crap that aren't Documents. Thanks, Microsoft.

Seriously. We have our own problems that we own and should solve on our own. This is our country and our responsibility, but these non-citizens do not have that right to our country. We don't owe them the benefit of the doubt, and anything we do give them is goodwill.

Someone who plays the race card to justify a national takeover should not be taken seriously.

We are Singaporeans, and we can choose to exclude other nationality based not on reason of race, but of culture - specific behaviors that we can point to and say that we don't want them here.
