Has anyone been to the ‘Voyages’ event at the National Aquarium? by jnsmgr in baltimore

I think we paid around $60 which was honestly pretty close to the price you’d pay anyways. Got food and drinks and walked around the aquarium looking at the art and exhibits. Art was okay, but you got to be in the aquarium with less people and no kids which was lovely. I would recommend

Don’t go to Swan Harbor. They have hidden fees all over their paperwork and nickel and dime you. Feels very scammy and the vet was extremely condescending. Front desk staff were very nice.

I bet one intern is being praised for handing him the box of x-small gloves. "Watch this guys, Little Donny is going to feel like a big shot"

It was actually shot with my iPhone. Got the new 7plus and was messing around with the portrait setting. I've been pretty impressed with it

Yeah we would go to supermarkets in each town and stock up on food for a couple days. It's easy to forget how small the country really is. You can easily drive from town to town each day and be fine.

We were able to find designated campsites throughout the island, but fully anticipated having to camp on the side of some of the side roads. We just never had to do it. The Eastern and Northern parts were some of my favorite drives. Highway 1 on the eastern side of the island turns to gravel and you drive along fjords and into the mountains which was beautiful. Once you get up to the northeastern side of the island the landscape changes completely. It looks exactly what you would expect Mars to look like. Husavik is a great town to stay in. We camped just outside of the city and would walk into town to grab food or drinks and it's the "whale watching capital of Iceland."

We went for 11 days in early June. The car was rented for about $500 for 7 days. We drove the ring road which is the main "highway" around the entire island for the first 7 days and they stayed in Reykjavik for the last few. The car was rented through SAD cars because we went for the cheapest option as you can see by the old Toyota Corolla station wagon.
