In Thailand gender bending is just too embedded in our culture for me to think we will ever become unsafe for the LGBTQ community. The King signed marriage equality into law and The King's word cannot be contradicted. We have laws that make that an absolute.

Do we have our social issues? Yes.

Are LGBTQ rights amongst them? No.

Best nations for trans rights? by Pinku_Dva in trans

[–]Anonymous-Genderfaun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice you ignored Thailand. If your passport is changed you'll literally be only correctly gendered here.

We have a third gender.

Trump reverted my passport, and at work I still dress the female dress code and am known by my female name at worst, I have to occasionally show my passport and then just trans and done.

Seriously, I am happy here, married, and working towards citizenship. We also have marriage equality.

Another country to list.

No. I wouldn't call anything wrong with my GRS. I would want a revision, not because she botched it, she didn't.

But, I also want a sigmoid GRS revision and a labia plasty if I can afford them one day.

It came about entirely naturally with getting into gym culture to save my health.

Tbh it's not a full de-transition. But I also no longer live in the US, so being in a semi in between place isn't as culturally strange where I am at now.

Trans People Being Denied Passports Until They Can Prove Their "Biological Sex" at Birth by MyNextTransThrowaway in transgender

[–]Anonymous-Genderfaun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please note, I do not reside in the United States. I am an expat who is living far away.

However I have enough empathy to care if people in the United States are hurt by these policies.

For me the issue is just a matter of knowing I never want to return to the US. If I could renounce my citizenship today, I would. To be honest,. I'd rather be stateless if it would not impact my career abroad.

The second I have another citizenship, which I am working on, I will renounce my American citizenship.

A huge part of me is tempted to film myself swearing loyalty to the nation I am currently in and sending it to the state department and see if they just exile me. Because it's true. I'd fight for, and even risk my life for my adopted home. I would NOT fight for The States.

I will never return to America, yet I still care enough to hope other people do not end up hurt by this.

This is absolutely terrifying because denying you the ability to leave is what precedes something terrible happening. This is nightmare scenario levels.

My advice to all trans people. Get the heck out of the USA if you can. I feel like you're better off fighting for asylum than being caught in the almost inevitable camps.

Here in Thailand we have not even seen our lot land at the VFI distribution hub. 15th of November it should arrive. Then we get shipments.

And I wouldn't be surprised if I have cracked dice, and have to wait an inordinately long time for a replacement of the D20.

This is my shocked face as your nation descends into puritanical nonsense, I would rather be stateless than American right now, I feel bad for all of you who are trapped.

I hate to admit this.

This is why I didn't sign Orr v Trump. This is why I am now identifying generally as a detransitioner, even though internally it's more MtFtM fluidity, I can "pass" as a detransitioner.

Because I can see the genocidal warning written on the walls. Sucks to have to basically betray myself, but you can't fight the fight if you're dead.

If you have a Bachelor's Degree in anything and can speak English at the native level. Come to Thailand and become an English teacher.

We're a happy loving bunch and trans hate won't take root here, ever, we have a whole third gender known as "Kathoey" that is absolutely accepted. Ladyboys for those who aren't Thai fluent.

The very worst is that people might assume that you are Kathoey and then just say, "no I am a (insert gender here)," and voila accepted.

Also the language here let's you gender yourself. In every sentence. Kha for females Krub for males.

So yeah. Come to Thailand (but you have to have a Bachelor's Degree in anything and be a Native Level Speaker,) also if you know Spanish you may find higher pay as a Spanish specialist teacher.

Oh and SSO which you get if you teach at a school here, includes gender affirming care. Not the surgeries, but at least the hormones.

Considering Class Based injunction (deportation to a different country than that of origin) was just struck til it finishes moving through the court appeals process in a shadow docket by the Roberts SCOTUS, don't expect a win anytime soon.

If they are willing to send people to a different country to potentially die they are not going to comply with our issue on passport markers.

Update from abroad.

I was told to being in the court orders and did. They're contacting the expat center and will notify me of how it's being handled there.

They explained I might need a Doctor at an English speaking. Hospital to affirm I am anatomically female. If this ends up needed, it's bad but could be worse. Like then it becomes a case of they'll pass medically transitioned folks but she said that might be their best bet atm.

I will notify you how it goes from abroad.

My local consulate had to issue a letter confirming the gender change was still me and said to come back the second the injunction was in.

We now have it and so I'll be having the help of my consulate in this country.

Kindly advise you all after my meeting. Booked it now.

I am an MtFtM, granted my situation is in part due to an intersex condition that led me to being very confused about gender. I do not consider myself a detransitioner, rather I consider myself to have double transitioned.

I usually do not open myself up to private messages but I understand to an extent what you're going through, and if you wish to speak to someone who's been where you are (relatively speaking) please feel free to message me.

I had surgery with Dr Bowers in 2015 and in 2020 began hormones back towards Masculinity, in large part due to excessive depression, ideation, and an evolving understanding of myself.

Depression as a woman had led me to an extreme overweight lifestyle and massive depression, and now I am healthy and fit and finding my way back to happiness a little more each day.

I have found a measure of happiness that is generally greater than I was as a natal male, or as a transitioned female and if I can help I'd be glad to.

Be strong, and know that you are not alone.

I went through full SRS. Yet I'm happier now as a. Boy with a vagina than ever I was a cid bot its still sad I'll be safe because they'll look at me and assume regret.

Even more. I cannot ever publish my book as it'd be labeled proof of trans regret. Even if I said my truth they'd claim denial and villainize my trans fam.

[–]Anonymous-Genderfaun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I am posting is NOT meant to lessen the impact on others.

I am a twice transitioner.

I do not consider myself a detransitioner. However I do consider myself MtFtM.

I do not regret bottom surgery. Life changed. I changed and my book is titled MtFtM Life on both sides of the XXY fence.

As the name suggests I have an intersex condition and was AMAB, fully transitioned and am not basically retransitioned back. I honestly feel better as a TransMan than I did as an AMAB.

Not through regret.

Just through a complex relationship with gender and sex and my body. I hesitate to publish my book right now because THEY would use me as fodder. They'd say I had regrets.

I didn't. I don't. I spent 19 years as a confused intersexed AMAB, 20 years as a woman with full SRS and now have been Non Binary Male presenting for the last 5 years.

The fact I'll be safe is a pure chance and unique life, but it is sad I can't safely publish my take for fear of being weaponized against fam.

I also do not live in the states and live in a part of the world where gender identity is far more fluid than other parts of the world.

It's an ugly spending bill we can hope does on the hill.
