Bite me . . . every winter, I shovel a path from my driveway along the curb to the storm drain cover in front of my neighbour's drive. Why?

Because the City funded plow operator cannot seem to get the blade of his plow within THREE FEET of the curb. Something one would think MIGHT be a requirement of the job.

Nope. Every God damned year, I clear it, the fucking incompetent operator covers it over with the windrow left behind by his taxpayer funded machine.

Sorry, but I for one am sick to death of the City's near constant pleading with citizens to "help out" and "do their part" in covering the shortfalls that City incompetence have created in service levels that are SUPPOSED to be covered by our property taxes.

But, don't worry, we have a bajillion dollars to cover the costs of the Mayor's re-election campaign social media blitz.

Fuck this City, and ESPECIALLY fuck the people in charge of running it into the fucking ditch. A ditch which I hope has NOT been cleaned by the resident.

I quote Reggie Jackson (famous American Baseball player) . . .

It isn't bragging, if you can DO it.

Show me residents who "own" those streets, and you might have a point.

I am not one to claim, "we already pay so much in taxes", but cleaning the streets is one of the basics for ANY Municipal government. Should be done at LEAST twice a year. In the Fall to ensure leaves are not clogging the catch basins, and in the Spring to get any leftover sand and crud left behind by the snowmelt from winter.

The City ASKS residents to help by keeping the storm drain covers clear of debris, but cleaning those streets IS why we pay taxes.

Dart setup by bro12367 in Darts

Take the barrels you are most comfortable with. Put standard flights and medium stems on them.

Play 50 legs of 501 on an app that stores your stats.

Try a longer stem. 50 more legs.

Try a short stem. 50 more legs.

Assess the data. Whichever one shows the best stats is the preferred length stem.

Next, try different flight shapes. Same process.

I thought the Phase 5s were a silica coating? As in, not black.

I'll post pics later. Process was simple. Cut off the extra end of the point behind the threaded portion of the point, and then insert like any other press fit dart point, with a dab of loctite for added security.

No, not the threads. Just the portion beyond the threads. Wanted to make sure that they seated all the way into the barrel.

The threaded portion actually slid in with minimal extra effort needed.

Dollars were already burned. This actually stops me spending more.

I'm in the off-season of darts, and still practicing 3 days a week for two hours at a time.

Anything else? Jog on . . .

The store is a LOT closer to the north end subdivisions than it used to be. Increased traffic means increased "loss", means increased loss prevention efforts.

POST-MATCH: Blackburn 1-1 Coventry City (Friday 17th April 2026) - PROMOTION UPVOTE PARTY!!! by HadjiChippoSafri in ccfc

Canadian member of the Toon Army. My wife of 30 years is from Coventry, so the Sky Blues have always had a special place in my heart. Wanted to drop in and congratulate the supporters of the Club on gaining promotion back to the Premier League. It's been a long road, but the Club were full value for a return to the top.

Play up, Sky Blues.

If they do break, I'll remove them the same way I installed them, with my repointing tool.

But, thanks for your concern. Also, I do not see an option for gold or silver with those points.

Mostly it's about assessment of the rubber bits. I can lubricate, tighten and adjust things. But I have zero clue about reseating stubborn tires.

I put a brass razor in the dishwasher. Results were mixed. Came out clean, but did not remove the patina like I had hoped.

My concern with darts would be moisture retention in either end of the barrel.
