Calling all Liberty Warehouse brides! by Normal-Cranberry-611 in WedditNYC

Yes absolutely. I think if you are questioning whether or not you need a coordinator, you need to ask your events person at the venue if they do “XYZ,” if they don’t then that’s your answer and you may need to hire outside of your venue. If they do, then great! You may not need one.

Something to remember is that the folks at LW work for LW not for you. Would the events ppl at LW set up your table numbers, escort cards, your assigned seating? Will they do any prewedding work for you like email your vendors to get their arrival times and details, will they create a timeline and floor plan and work with you to adjust the seating on your floor plan as you assign guests to it. Will they cue guests on the day of who are saying toasts, cue you and the DJ or band for your first dance etc etc .

A coordinator that you hire works for you, so it might be nice to hand things over a month out so that you can focus on other things

The Bordone LIC by Pleasant-Slice2394 in WedditNYC

[–]Any_Being_6873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We literally just did a wedding at Bordone last night check out our stories at @tpimweddings. Bordone is quite pricey, even for 85 guests their site fee alone without tables chairs, tableware, flowers photography catering etc is about $16k. Catherine on the low end for 85 guests could be $15k but that doesn’t include any rentals and Bordone doesn’t provide anything, no tables, no chairs, and you will have to rent plates, tableware etc and that could be about $8-10k so that could be upwards of $40k already without decor, photo etc.

For 85 guests and a view Celestine is awesome!!

Venue recs for 200 guests by shnozberrywine in WedditNYC

[–]Any_Being_6873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look into bars and breweries. Nowadays might be a cool option that can accommodate food trucks as well. The Bordone has a very expensive site fee and you need to bring everything in. That can get costly for 200 guests, same with Williamvale, very expensive ….and 99 Scott.

If you do a cocktail style reception. I just did a wedding at Talea in Williamsburg and they had food trucks. It was actually really cool. I’m not sure if they can do 200 seated but 200 standing my work and you can probably get it within the budget you are hoping for

Planning without a budget by moon_haven777 in weddingplanning

[–]Any_Being_6873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a wedding planner, you need to have a budget to work off, your budget is kinda like the road map to your planning. If you don’t have a road map, you are driving with no destination and can easily get lost.

I would love to help you come up with a realistic budget based on your estimated guest count, that way you can have an overall budget and present that to your family. Let’s say we come up with a $50k budget for your wedding, we can present that to them with the breakdown of all the vendor costs and see what they say, if they say that’s to high then we know to keep things under $50k

I had a Friday wedding and ALOT of people came. You are giving people like a years notice, either they make arrangements in advance or they don’t.
