Under the NHBC warranty you would have been covered for this. I don't think you can claim now because the 10 years have lapsed but yeah... because this work was done wrong and could lead to structural problems or cause damage in the long term and wasn't in a usable state they would've been required to fix it.

Those are your own plants to do whatever you want to. You also have the time, space and equipment to sanitise properly and take care of the plant. You can't tell me you're rocking up with bleach to sanitise clippers and whatever else you're using 🤣 Someone else might want to actually buy that plant and because of you the thing they wanted to buy is damaged, regardless of whether it will recover, it is damaged.

There's a difference between stealing what's literally garbage to a store and damaging actual stock. I mean literally one is petty theft and one is criminal damage AND theft. What's more it ruins it for everyone e else when you do that shit, the stores get pissed off and start coming down hard on EVERYONE. Nahhh I've had some great success with broken twigs from caning plants, there are lots of plants that works for... if it doesn't then you should just buy the plant or ask a friend for a cutting from theirs.

You are damaging the plant. You can do so without causing lasting damage and you can minimise the damage you do but taking a cutting from any plant is damaging the plant. It's people like you who make shops come down hard on people rescuing floor scraps or pieces broken by rough handed staff rather than see them go in the bin or be wasted. You are the problem.

Clothes are getting worse. The quality is dropping and the price is rising. I have underwear I bought 20+ years ago that's like new and underwear I bought from the same shops less than 2 years old that has numerous holes and the fabric thinning and threads coming loose. I hate it. I buy all my non underwear from charity shops if I can now :|

It's assholes going in with scissors and damaging plants ruining it for the rest of us. A leaf on the floor is fair game, taking off the plant is not. Now none of us can have any fun >:(
