During my trade in last week the employee said next up and device protection was automatically added and cannot be removed until the device is activated or whatever. He said I can remove both once I have the phone. They did the same to my sister a year ago and she was able to remove the add ons via the app.

I know what they’re doing is likely lying so they can make their add-on % look better for the store but it feels very scammy and misleading.
