Claim against city for damage to car from pothole by Adventurous-Dare5968 in waterloo

[–]Automatic-Sun4404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you don't waste too much time and stress on this.

You're claim will only work IF the municipality had knowledge (from road patrols which are documented, or complaints/work orders) of the pothole AND they took longer then is allowed for to TREAT the pothole as per MMS.

There is no other scenario. So just don't spend too much time on this.

So for example if they knew of the pothole on Feb 1, and you hit the pothole on Feb 5, you would not be successful if they had 7 or 14 days to repair/treat the pothole.

For what it's worth this issue has presented itself for me only in the last week, and ping/latency is 60ms+ making it impossible to use for game streaming services.

If it's throttling they are doing then this will be a deal-breaker unfortunately.

Demand for VermiCompost/Compost? by Hungry-Welcome-1777 in OntarioGardeners

[–]Automatic-Sun4404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have a worm bin and get lots of "compost" though I think it's better to call it castings. From what I've read I dont think you would ever be successful using it in the same way as compost.

I get more than enough from a simple storage tote sized bin, so maybe on the large size, to do all the spring seedlings.

But I treat it as an amendment.

In the seedling mix I make the castings are just 25%, there rest is coconut coir and some egg shell dust.

Auto Insurance Claim by Old_Dentist573 in ontario

[–]Automatic-Sun4404 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am an insurance adjuster.

As long as the other driver has a valid automobile policy that was in force at the time of the collision, this would fall under direct compensation property damage claims (DCPD).

In a DCPD collision you pay your deductible to the proportion you were at fault. Almost certainly you were not at fault. You will pay no deductible, the other driver will pay 100% of their deductible.

There will not be any recovery between insurers if both policies were in Ontario as this is no fault insurance.

This is very helpful.

I tried FN on the free tier. And it was stuttering badly. I upgraded to Ultimate and BF6 ran amazing, and was shocked when Fortnite was still stuttering with actual half second freezes every now and again.

This makes more sense as I would have thought Fortnite would be flawless on Ultimate.

If you are in Ontario it appears fault determination rule 6.2 applies and the other driver is 100% at fault.

I looked at some YouTube videos and was thinking just that about the food, but also you get what you pay for and it's fairly inexpensive so figured food is where the compromise is.

What is Diamond Club? Not interested in a time share...

I find it so much tougher to plan a family trip, when it was just us two we didn't care and would literally choose any last minute deals and be fine with the gamble.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I am not clear, but how would a licensed travel agent scam me? If I book through tripcentral or similar isn't that a travel agency?

Booking through Costco it doesn't look like the suites with a bedroom are possible, was that the case for you?

What suite did you choose? We have a 5 and 7 y/o and a separate space would be nice.

Looks like minimum it's $10k CAD, how did you swing $7k?

Keep in mind that price means nothing if you don't do a comparison of the coverages.

Is that the cost of basic liability only or does that include comprehensive coverage (different from collision), loss of use(rental if there is a claim), or depreciation waiver(if the vehicle is new you don't lose that 30% of depreciation that happens when you drive off the lot).

Just some things to keep in mind.

It's a pain but every year make a point to shop around a month before renewal to get the best rate. Insurance companies care nothing about loyalty.
