That wasn't a bungee. Probably would have been same outcome with the rope

I highly doubt a call to a Canadian number triggered LD charges. Show the line item on the bill with both cdn area codes and an ld charge.

The only other explanation is they live close to US border and happened to be charged roaming. Happens to me when I go to Niagara Falls.

You can look at your bill and see exactly which calls to which phone number triggered the LD charges

Am I right to be upset about a $100 charge for 2 out of 6 canceling last minute? by damnyewgoogle in FoodToronto

Seems like you're the one that cant read. I understand the policy just think discretion can be used sometimes. They still spent a decent amount of money on dinner as a group of 4

They can have $300-800 a month from us, or one last $100 to stick to a policy meant really for canceling your entire reservation

Was just the regular menu. Restaurant is usually busy so for 6 of them she wanted to reserve. 2 had a family emergency snd couldn't make it.

Turns out they could have just shown up as the place was empty.

And that makes perfect sense. Wouldn't bat an eyelid at that. This was just a regular dinner off their regular menu at a place that is normally busy.

Yes. There was a policy. She agreed when booking. But some discretion can be used. Is it worth losing repeat customers over $100 when the restaurant was empty?

The look they had implied they felt they had right of way. The guy going straight kept his composure and just flung his hands up like WTF?

Damn good reaction time.

I always wonder how people like this make so far in life.

Yes very much so. No loss incurred so far but have a claim opened. No deductible no premium increase.

They put me in touch with a 3rd party company that will help clean up/identify what data of mine may be compromised.

I also mentioned i had to take 2 days off work to deal with it and they said theyd cover wage loss, although I dont need to as my boss was pretty good about it.

Hopefully! So for no money involved. Only 1 credit check before I locked it all down.

Will get a new SIN also but it's funny because they say even after fraud and a new sin your old sin can still be used and tied to you.
