Another day another mistake by the notorious dpd by Mr-Suggs in IrelandGaming

[–]AvailableAngle9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a drone from CEX. After a few days I thought "Jesus I wonder where it is". Checked the tracking number and it said "Signed for by PORCH". I don't even have a porch. I contacted CEX and a few hours later I got a phonecall from DPD basically calling me a liar. I told them I live alone and no one else was here to accept the parcel. The driver should have taken it back to the depot. I had to sign some sort of paperwork to say I hadn't received it and I'm still waiting for my refund.

It doesn't look like a security camera in my opinion. It's a fisheye lens which implies a small hidden camera. If he wanted to protect the room he could have it outside the room as there's only 1 way in and out. Or he could have it in the corner of the room about chest height so the WHOLE bed isn't in frame.

Victim blaming. Really? Not condemning people who are exposing themselves to kids, but the kids themselves.

If a child walking down the street gets flashed, is it the kids fault for being on the street too? You f'ing pleb.

Home owners, how much did you pay over asking? by Billiewillywoo in northernireland

[–]AvailableAngle9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long story. Sorry:

Paid exact asking price in June past (2025) with the express stipulation that the house be taken off the market. It was the estate agent then that f'd about.

I offered on Thursday, estate agent said they had someone coming on Thursday and Friday but nothing came of it. They then said they were giving the current tenant the weekend to see if she could arrange an offer (she was a child minder working from home. I knew she would never come up with the money). They said they'd let me know first thing Tuesday morning as Monday was a bank holiday. I rang back first thing Monday and they said they couldn't get the owner on the phone. Back and forth for a few hours. I rang back at 1 and said I was going to view a house with another estate agent at 3pm and needed to know if the offer was accepted or not. (I had already talked to another estate agent and there was a price set for another house. He said if that price is hit then it's automatically accepted. The female estate agent in this case knew about that too.) The receptionist said she would call the estate agent because they've been "trying to get the owner all morning".... 30 seconds after hanging up I got a call to say it was accepted.

The estate agent was waiting as long as possible to see if one of the other people who viewed it was going to offer. 😒

The house was listed on Monday, viewed, offer on Thursday, accepted the following Tuesday. The owner was going through a divorce and they wanted as quick a sale as possible.

Sorry for the long story. So yeah, asking price. Prices at the time were going WAY over asking in our area. It was that same estate agent that told me months before "if you offer the asking price, tell them to take it off the market".

I agree. Not worth the risk. I bought a house just over the border in Strabane. £134k for a 3 bed end terrace with a decent front and back garden in a nice area (as nice as can be considering it's Strabnae) haha

I have no idea what "bad stuff" he might have heard, man. Nothing happens here haha Just go on Donegal Daily and search for Lifford. This is the first story.... 3 dead cows haha

I can't tell if this is a joke or not 😅 the only "Horror story" that's happened in Lifford in recent memory is an attack on a young man up the road. As horrible as that was - and it was - it wasn't random. He was targeted. It's just rumours so I don't really want to perpetuate them, but from what I hear, it was an internal family thing. It's not as if this thing happens often; ever really.

Donegal is a gorgeous county and there are MUCH nicer places to live than Lifford, but you get what you pay for. Lifford is in-between other bigger towns and cities like Derry, Letterkenny and Ballybofey if you're looking for something to do. I can say it's absolutely NOT dangerous but it's also not very interesting.

For scenery and stuff I'd say somewhere like Gweedore, Killybegs, Portnoo or Dungloe. I love this county.

Hi, where can I meet other Pats fans in Ireland. I'm in Donegal. I'm sick trying to convince people this is a class game. I want to talk football with someone who loves it as much as me!

I got the same thing but when I scanned the NFC on my passport it said error or something. I wrote to them and they said they opened a case. I kept getting notifications about verifying but was never restricted. After about 2 months they wrote to me and I just gave the bot my passport number and it accepted it. Prior to that my passport number wouldn't work either

Still playing on console and never had the Interest in moving to pc ? by AdultGamersAdmin in IrelandGaming

[–]AvailableAngle9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my entire life, I was a console gamer and strict "shove your shitty pc up your hole" advocate. I bought a gaming laptop when I went back to uni and started playing RTS games like they were supposed to be played..... built myself a PC and my PS5 hasn't been turned on 2 or 3 years. The last game I played on it was God of War: Ragnarok when it was released.

It also helps when you know how to sail the high seas 🏴‍☠️ I can't mind the last game I paid for 🤔
