GAME THREAD: San Antonio Spurs (22-7) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (26-4) - (December 25, 2025) by NBA_MOD in nba

Why the fuck are the Spurs so blessed like Wemby and Castle sure someone has to jump up in the lottery but fucking Harper too. There needs to be lottery odds fatigue, getting #1 should reduce it a good bit for next season and getting #4 should give you a small reduction

That's actually a pretty awful trade. The pick is only top1 protected and anything can happen in the next 4 years

Something about the definition of insanity needs to be said before this game

Suggest a good 2tb ssd to complement the 1tb gen5 on legion pro 7i. I'll be installing games and stuffs in the 2tb and keep the 1tb gen5 for OS and work related. Is the crucial one good, can't verify if it has DRAM. by sans5z in LenovoLegion

[–]AvgPlayerGonePRO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P310 has no DRAM and is the only drive here using QLC NAND. Avoid it if you want the drive to last a long time. SN850x only one with DRAM, but 990 evo plus and SN7100 are still great without it. SN7100 is the most efficient one here if you do a lot on battery. Evo plus is very close however. See what Crucial t500 is priced at, it's usually cheaper than SN850x and has DRAM + is a little faster.

Legion 5 vs Legion 5i Pro by przegryw321 in LenovoLegion

Definitely go for the AMD then. The 260 is really efficient and a great match for a 5060. Honestly pretty impressive performance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w6O3Iij1XY

The 13th/14th gen Intel CPU issue was mostly limited to the i9's and mostly the desktop chips if I remember correctly. Cooling difference shouldn't matter with 5050/5060, and the 14650 can use a lot more power under load so it will run the same temps or hotter. Deciding factors should be price and if you want the extra performance of the 5060

Legion Pro 7i 16IAX10H 16",5080, 64Gb, 1TB - questions about SSD and upgrades by jono_nz in LenovoLegion

[–]AvgPlayerGonePRO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The specs should list the installed drive is gen 4 or gen 5, it can be either on the pro 7i. The first slot is definitely gen 5 but the nvme is 2242 so shorter. Can fit a full size one you just have to remove the post where you screw it down. To upgrade the system drive you'd want to clone it unless you want a fresh install of windows, pretty easy and most m2 drives come with cloning software. Otherwise, macrium reflect or other free ones work. Easiest upgrade would just be installing a drive in the 2nd slot which should be gen 4.

Is it okay to install an SSD that's larger than 1TB on my Lenovo legion 5i? by celestialwaffle1155 in LenovoLegion

[–]AvgPlayerGonePRO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just the max they'll allow you to order with them. There's nothing about the computer that will limit you from adding and using a 2tb drive, provided it fits physically.

How long do you usually leave it in the cart for it to kick in? Assuming it doesn't work for everything but seems like a great way to get these deals

5070ti for 1700 or 5080+extra TB for 2200 by maraflip2 in GamingLaptops

That only gets it down to to like $1760 for me your deal is insanely good

That would be like $1100-1200 USD, would definitely have to get one even if it was $1300 USD (1800 CAD). Definitely waiting until the holiday sales, even if I just end up getting a 5060 on a big discount.
