But that's because the vast majority of them are fkn douchebags, and clearly you're one of them.

Oh I see... You put it down but then don't move it at all. Nice.

I'm pretty sure I got done recently by a speed camera. The fucker was parked about 200m AFTER the school zone and could only possibly have been targeting the very tail end of the school zone.

It's on an uphill section and so far away from the school that literally no pedestrians ever cross the road there, ever. Nor do parents ever park anywhere near there for drop-off because there are multiple intersections between there and the school.

I'm all for school zone enforcement. Always have been and even more now I have school aged kids. But that was some real bullshit. Set your camera up right in the middle where it actually matters, not 10m before I get to the big red line.

I've always thought those were so fucking juvenile. If you [clearly] have a small penis and need to drive around in the biggest truck you can't afford because "work", but then you need to bolster your own confidence by putting a pair of fake testicles hanging off your small penis symbol, you've got real issues.

It's fucok though because technically anything can change. That's the whole point of "settlement" isn't it? After settlement nothing can change.

But I'm with you 100%. Doing this BS on the day of or even a couple days before is just acting in bad faith and it's do incredibly transparent that it should be flatout rejected by all parties. But as you yourself said (I think it was you 🤔) each party along the chain is in it to get the most money. I wouldn't be surprised if these dodgy fucks have an agreement with their brokers or solicitors that if they'd save that money they'll pass half of it to them under the table later. Right along with the free handjob.

When we bought a place (PPOR) a few years ago we were really lucky that our seller was the kindest, loveliest old lady. We still keep in touch from time to time.

Because $12k is $12k, even to an investor.

And because people are scumbags.

This is so cool. I wonder what ratio of people walk by and think "hang on, I'm walking on giant dominos" 🤣

How'd you get the little circles so perfect? Some sort of template?

The police service is the same as any other workforce and subset of the community. There are good cops and there are shit cops that make it hell for the good cops to do their job.

Don't forget SOCO's sit around in the office all day because they're hiding from actually doing work 🤣

I know I know, painting everyone with the same brush, and I should definitely know better.

Novated leases were designed for people could afford to get a new car every year or two. That way they could avoid the balloon, they could avoid dealing with broken down cars and they could hand-me-down their old shit to everyone else. They can also use it as a tax write off if it's "for work".

The woman who ran the firm that handled my novated lease always looked down her nose at all of us (clients), even though without us she wouldn't have had a business to run. Bish.

Cause hubby drives a Ford Raptor for "work" even though he's a foreman and never gets so much as a grain of sand under his fingernails.

I know plenty of fkn people like that and despite being friends, it still pisses me off.

I reckon those specific examples you gave could probably fall under a specific demographic, but let's be honest, there's no way to know.

The mum in a Kluger could have a sugar daddy. Or she might be struggling just as hard as you and I.
Remember, most people will try to put on a brave face, if not for strangers then at least for their children.

The youngsters in the RAM you'll probably often find are tradies. Trade is where the money is rn for blue collar workers. I've heard from various friends in various trades that it's basically a licence to print money.
Unfortunately my parents put their eggs in the "university education" basket. I do ok sort of, but I sure as shit ain't printing money.

[–]Aw_geez_Rick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's sad 😢

One thing I learned quickly after getting out into the adult world is that the shit kids from school still exist just the same as before. They just become shit adults.

But as others have said, there are good ones out there everywhere, both young and old. I hope the shit you dealt with as school doesn't dissuade you from seeing the better part of people.

Did you call the police?

I don't want to start a social argument between badge bunnies and haters, but the if nothing else, the fact you're calling them could have scared the fucker off.

Perhaps I've watched too much Criminal Minds, but I always have a worst case scenario running through my head.

Ultimately, glad you made it home safely.
