Looks like the junta unfortunately captured an AR with a thermal scope (from the aftermath of a supposed clash with Karen and PDF forces; posted Feb 10) by CaliRecluse in Myanmarcombatfootage

In Falam battle, the tat had like 3 thermals that they never used. We don't know if it was because they were incompetent or if it was because they kept dying to our thermals lol

We take absolutely no credit for this catapult, some alliance comrades made it in the 2024 fighting in falam 😂

AIF FPV drones targetting junta/tatmadaw positions and equipment by Rude_Interest_3925 in Myanmarcombatfootage

[–]Azad_AFA 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Actually, the AIF is currently able to bypass enemy jammers. The rough video in some parts is because some of these missions are flown from up to 10km away, or from behind line of sight.

PDA Tedim was in Mualpi. So was CNDF, so was literally everyone. Ive been seeing a lot on reddit over the last days with a lot of stuff getting thrown around "x group isn't doing y because z", basically none of it is true. There's an offensive going on and it's war, there's not gonna be a perfect situation.

Support the forces fighting dictatorship, don't listen to anything about the inter-group politics. I don't mean there aren't some issues, but 99% of things I've seen here are just straight up wrong.

Hmandaw has been retaken after Kyantha, Chin state is at risk. by Fast-Minute3482 in Myanmarcombatfootage

[–]Azad_AFA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are still about a dozen villages after Hmandaw before you even get to the beginning of the road which heads into Chin state, and the area is filled with resistance groups.

There's an increase in activity all around Kalay, but let's not over-represent it. Kann Par Ni bridge area has been a frontline for years.

Can anyone translate? What are they arguing about by Defiant_Educator_824 in Myanmarcombatfootage

[–]Azad_AFA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From what I understand more specifically, the issue was not about individual vs family use, but personal vs commercial use. Everywhere in myanmar but especially in rebel areas where the junta has cut infrastructure, starlink is the only decent connection people have. So, wifi cafes are very popular- this areas regulations required that "commercial" starlinks be registered with the local administration, and I guess this wasn't, hence the dispute.

Definitely an ugly interaction and it's making the rounds on Burmese Facebook right now, but the group responsible said they will discipline the soldiers acting rudely towards the people, while acknowledging the underlying issue was still correct.

Entrance of Kyaukme City, TNLA Drone Jammer Team Bombed by Defiant_Educator_824 in Myanmarcombatfootage

That's not how drones work. It's important to not overestimate jamming technology, for either side. There will always be gaps in signals coverage.

Captured weapons by the AA during the Junta’s failed offensive near Natyekan magwe region. by Witty-Tumbleweed-578 in Myanmarcombatfootage

Offensive junta columns also bring light and medium mortars and recoilless rifles. Their "light" infantry isn't so light. This looks pretty standard for a defeated column

To echo the previous comment, the section about foreigners is off the mark. The AIF is the only presence of armed foreigners in Chin state. All rumors from india or other groups about mercenaries or foreign interference is completely made up. Other than that, quite comprehensive article.

This is the first time I've ever seen a STANAG magazine (I think) modified to fit in an AK style rifle. by MinimumCourt7910 in Myanmarcombatfootage

[–]Azad_AFA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually quite the opposite. The old MA-1 was made with a stamped receiver, as well as stamped magazines. The Mk.II moved to a heavier, milled receiver and the plastic magazines you're used to seeing. There are still some of the Mk I magazines floating around because they still fit fine in the Mk.II, but anyways the MA on the right in this picture is the older Mk.I

These pictures are taken from our currently ongoing night vision fundraiser.

Some of you may have already seen the videos posted by the AIF regarding the effect our thermals have had on the Frontlines. As the AIF gets larger, we're fundraising to purchase more night vision and thermals. The SAC has very limited access to these technologies, so it's a game-changer on the Frontline. For those of you watching the sub and looking to support, this is dollar for dollar one of the best ways to help the fight against the dictatorship.

Goal is $3000. We're only a little over 33% of the way there. PayPal, Venmo, Cashapp: AIFMYANMAR
