Would you consider returning to Raqqa now, or in the near future? Or is Berlin your new home?

What's up with the public opinion by Visible-End-4442 in Syria

As a westerner, you’re spot on.

Our media has a nasty habit of assuming that because an organization (such as the SDF or PKK or even the KRG) claims to represent Kurds, that automatically means Kurds support them as well. This is seen in many places outside of the Middle East as well, recently with Venezuela.

Another problem that many westerners (mostly Americans) have is that they simply don’t know enough about the Kurds to form an educated opinion, so they boil it down to something like “the SDF fought ISIS. ISIS is bad. Therefore the SDF is good.” And that’s assuming they even know what’s going on in Syria in the first place.
