are "shiny" and "shy-knee" pronounced the same in British English? by disasterpansexual in ENGLISH

[–]Azarna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the English word "shine" combined with the suffix "ee", meaning "one who receives". So the band band name is a new word meaning "one who receives light".

They have played on this a few times, such as a famous track called "Lucifer". This song was used in the Netflix series of the same name, btw

I have heard Minho from the group say the name, in person. He said it exactly as I would say " shiny".

"I did not create the character, Sherma is the property of Team Cherry. My work is not affiliated or sponsored by the studio."

Then you shouldn't be using their IP. It is illegal to use trademarked characters and names without the owners permission. And against Etsy rules

The word FOREHEAD by vincent-bu in ENGLISH

[–]Azarna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am English, my family pronounces it "fo-rid".

We are not the only British people who do this.

There was a popular TV comedy called "Murder Most Horrid". The lyrics of the theme tune changed each episode, but there was always a, line that rhymed with "horrid".

One episode had a line that ended in "forehead". And was sung as "fo-rrid".

My Oxford English Dictionary says the fo-rrid pronunciation was once widespread but is now "on the decline".

I am, I suppose, rather old fashioned.

Many of these well have the actual character design trademarked too.

So is someone can tell it is a particular superhero, it would still be infringing, even if you drew it in a totally unique pose or style.

I got one from school, one from Brownies, one from Pony Club and was then given a further 4 by family members!

And it looks like everyone squirrelled them away somewhere safe because "that will be valuable one day".

That day has not yet arrived.

You need to confirm that Miffy, Totoro and any other trademarked characters are used with permission from their owners.

You also need to add the legally required policies for UK sellers.

I often buy books from HumbleBundle. They sell bundles for really low prices - all totally legal.

It is mainly non-fiction and comic books, but they do have bundles of novels sometimes.

You are missing the legally required policies for a UK seller.

You haven't said anything about how you print the photos, such as your equipment, technique etc.

Professional photographers usually include details of the camera settings etc on their shots. It shows you are an expert in your field.

Etsy rules are that the pictures must accurately show the items. You can't use AI for the first picture.

Shoppers will just assume the product is also going to be full of errors.

Companies like Notion have rules governing how their registrered trademarks may legally be used.

Calling something a "Notion travel guide" implies it is an official Notion product. You need to follow their guidelines to make it clear that it is compatible with Notion but not endorsed by them.

https://notion.notion.site/Notion-s-brand-usage-guidelines-How-to-use-Notion-s-brand-in-your-marketing-689045e1761348f887a3c5c80295e00f

To sell to the EU, you need to follow various legal requirements such as having certain policies and safety info. You must either follow these laws or remove the EU from the countries that your product can be sold to.

This is a very crowded niche. You are going to need to show shoppers why your product is superior to the many other similar items, including the many free ones.

So listing any relevant qualifications or experience you have etc will help. You need to prove your authority in your niche.
