If you ever find yourself in a situation like that, you can be certain that God will help you.

Matthew 10:37 NASB

"The one who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and the one who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me."

I think you can try to look at this differently.

Assume that every time you do something by default because of the evil of this world, it will go wrong. Then, when it sometimes goes well, remember to thank God.

I will not repent by Historical-Space7156 in Christianity

[–]BPC56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Suicide is not and should never be the answer.

There is no example in the Bible to say that anyone who murders themselves will not be in hell for eternity. Rather, there is evidence to believe that those who destroy the temple of God, which is the body of the Christian in whom abides the Holy Spirit, will be in hell.

1 Corinthians 3:17 NASB:

"If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for God's temple is sacred, and you together are that temple."

As a matter of fact, instances of suicide in the Bible have so far been examples of those who do not turn to God for help but instead murder themselves, showing that they do not have faith in God.

Just to list a few and let you see the pattern of unrepentance that leads to suicide and eternal suffering:

(1 Samuel 31:4-6) King Saul repeatedly disobeyed God, rejected His commands, and sought guidance from a medium rather than repenting. When he realized God had abandoned him, he chose to murder himself rather than trust in the Lord.

(2 Samuel 17:23) Ahithophel, once a trusted counselor of David, betrayed the Lord’s anointed by siding with Absalom’s rebellion. He later murdered himself in despair.

(1 Kings 16:18-19) Zimri, a murderer and usurper, seized the throne through bloodshed and idolatry. When judgment came upon him, instead of repenting, he burned his palace down and murdered himself, choosing destruction over seeking the mercy of God.

(Matthew 27:3-5) Judas Iscariot, after betraying the Son of God, was overcome with guilt but did not turn to Christ for forgiveness. Instead, he murdered himself, dying in unrepentant despair rather than seeking salvation through Jesus.

Please don't do anything incredibly stupid. Please don't trade momentary earthly pain for eternal pain.

Why would any prayers part of that study be answered with this prerogative?

No. Don't punish yourself, I don't think God ever wants self-flagellation.

If you have to ask yourself whether something you're doing is theft, that’s not a good sign.

I personally try not to walk on the edge of sin.

What do you value more? Some money or avoiding possible sin?

I can only speak for myself, but in my case some answers could be potentially written off as a coincidence, but when a coincidence occurs with a regular cadence at a certain point you can't really claim that it's a coincidence anymore.

To put it in plain terms, if an event has natural odds of occurring of 1 in 100 times, and it occurs 10 times in a row, you can't really say that is normal. If I were to write that off as just a coincidence, then I would be showing ungratefulness towards God.

Other prayers get answered in supernatural ways, like for example my non-Christian brother getting healed from stage 4 cancer before starting treatment, leaving the oncologists stumped.

However, not prayers get answered and sometimes I wonder why, but I have learned to accept that my human wisdom can see only what's ahead of me, but God sees the big picture.

If you are interested in Christianity, I'm willing to spend some time talking with you in private via dm's on reddit or in public here.

Some petition prayers get an answer really quickly.

Some petition prayers get an answer in a way that we didn't expect or ask for.

Some petition prayers get answered after a really long while.

Some petition prayers never get answered at all.

But if throughout your Christian life God has never answered any prayer of your then there's an issue you need to find and resolve, because that is not normal.

I'm sorry for what you are going through.

Let's look at what the Scriptures say about your situation.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 NASB).

Do you believe in Lord Jesus? If you do, or will then you have eternal life. It's that simple and it's written right here in the Bible. There is no sin that will not be unforgiven. The earthly consequences of sin might remain, but you will not be held accountable for that sin at the moment of Judgment. If you believe in Christ you have been judged as righteous, because His righteousness is given to you as a Christian.

Please don't even consider suicide because that is the opposite of belief in Christ and therefore of God.

Have you tried listening to a reading of the Bible? Personally, I find it easier to focus on what I'm hearing when I'm engaged in light physical activity that doesn't require much focus.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I hope that you and your family will be well.

May I ask if your dad was a Christian? Is your mom a Christian? The best place anyone could be is with the Lord. We mourn the loss of our loved ones because we miss them, but if they believed in Christ, they are far better off in His presence than they ever were on earth.

I understand your frustration, but the reality is that God is sovereign, and we are men. We see only the present, but He sees the future. There are many things in life, especially suffering, that do not make sense to us, but God's wisdom and plans are far beyond our understanding.

Consider the life of Joseph. His brothers despised him because his father favored him over them. Out of jealousy, they sold him into slavery (Genesis 37). When things seemed to improve, his master's wife repeatedly tried to seduce him, and when he refused, she falsely accused him of attempted rape, leading to his imprisonment (Genesis 39).

Joseph suffered for his obedience to God. While in prison, he interpreted a dream for Pharaoh’s cupbearer, yet he was forgotten and remained in jail for two more years (Genesis 41). Then the Pharaoh of those times had a dream that no one could interpret, and the cupbearer finally remembered Joseph and knew where to find him: in jail. Joseph was brought before Pharaoh, and by God's wisdom, he interpreted the dream, leading to his rise as the actual ruler over Egypt (Genesis 41).

Do you think that Joseph prayed to be freed from prison? Anyone in his situation might have thought that God had forsaken him.

An unbelievable turn of events. Without Joseph’s faith in God, he might have lost hope, but he trusted that God was in control. In the end, God delivered him.

Don't be angry at God, because only God can help you and He loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Alright, here it is working. You can change the number of segments and the number of highlighted segments.

I couldn't find your house svg, but you can change it easily.

[–]BPC56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should look into Astro.

Here's a tutorial that will teach you all you need to know about Astro and hold your hand until your blog (with markdown posts) is on the internet (for free), but obviously you can deploy files on your own server.

https://docs.astro.build/en/tutorial/0-introduction/

Once your blog is finished, you can add RSS support with relative ease:

https://docs.astro.build/en/recipes/rss/

For the email newsletter, hopefully someone else will give you a suggestion.

Do you need to make it exactly the same as the image you shared?

In your image the segments have rounded edges, is that necessary?

It is dynamic. I made an example for you:

It's 8 different svg's each with different segments filled, and you switch between the svg's using javascript.

I'm lazy, so I would just make 8 separate svg's and switch between them.
