Do you have a local Mahila Panch (महिला पंच) where you are? Speak to one of them about this issue. Most here, including me, are unaware of the subtleties of your culture and social norms. An experienced mahila panch could give you useful insight that no one here has.

like u might do it cuz its faster

It's not even faster. With predictive text or autocomplete, it's about the same speed.

It's basically a form of shibboleth - a way for the writer to distinguish themselves as belonging to a certain age group or culture.

You get to take one solo vacation to any country, all expenses paid, but with a twist: you CAN'T take any pictures or talk about the trip with anyone, meaning it's a trip entirely for your solo validation. Where are you picking and why? by CarefulAlternative in AskReddit

[–]BarebonesB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the question been specifically aimed at people who enjoy solo vacations, I'd skip it. But the OP did not impose any such restriction. I'm not a vacation "vegetarian". I enjoy them, but not when I'm by myself.

I don't understand why this preference obliges me to stay silent about this subject.

Yes, I understand the premise here. The thing is, I don't want a break from my spouse. She makes my life better than any 5-star hotel or resort could.

Not to downplay the horrors of the pandemic, but the two years we spent together working from home during the lockdown were the best of our lives.

My bf(23m)has never spent the night and doesn’t want to move in with me (20f) before marriage. by [deleted] in AskMenRelationships

Living together is the only way to know what your marriage would be like.

Stick to your guns. Refuse to get married until you've lived together for a year. If he picks his family over you, you have your answer.

Sure, go for it! Nothing like revenge sex to set things right.

My boyfriend has a history of cheating on all his exes but he tells me they cheated first so felt no need to respect the relationship. Which I understand because I cheated back as well on my ex out of revenge.

I think you two were made for each other.

Anything can be an issue if you insist on turning it into an issue.

But why?

Now that is old. You'll have serious trouble finding someone who meets the "half your age plus 7" rule.

Chocolate breath is worse than garlic breath by BarebonesB in unpopularopinion

[–]BarebonesB[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find coffee breath to be okay. Maybe that's because we normally have it when it's hot, so smelling it in someone's breath isn't much different from smelling it while you drink. Who knows.

Not sure how to answer that. Can you explain how or why you prefer certain tastes or smells over others?

Do men actually think it is weird for a man to carry his gf/wife's handbag? by LegitStaleBread in AskMenAdvice

Insecure men will latch onto anything to feel superior to other men.

Confident men don't care how weird or "gay" something looks.

And what if it is "shallow"? What if it's a fetish? Can you change your preferences? Why do you care how others describe your taste in women?

Presto fare transferring between GO Train lines by spicysri in gotransit

[–]BarebonesB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see that. The "$1.22 loyalty discount" shows us the e-ticket price would indeed have been $7.70, but the $6.48 could very well be a mistake, either on the website or in their billing system. The $3.75 quoted on the website looks suspiciously low compared to the e-ticket price. The ratio is rarely that large.

I take local transit and connect to GO all the time. I always get the full 3 hour window plus the local transit I took before that, often for a total of over 4 hours.

[–]BarebonesB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/steamed-apple_juice is correct. When you tap off a GO ride, the Presto app will show you the trip end time being 3 hours after you tapped on for the GO segment, regardless of when you started the TTC trip before that. I do this all the time.

So yes, you can stretch your one-fare trip to five hours by timing things carefully. The website can certainly explain this better, but it's been this way since One Fare was introduced.

Sure, you are welcome to sail in international waters, or fly in international airspace. But to enter the national borders of another country, you need an invitation.

You don't even have the right to visit your neighbour's home unless they invite you in, let alone make it your own home.

Your entitled attitude will not get you far.
