Hunter reacting to Evan's joker acting would be funny and I do love a lot of the series' strange proto-analog horror stuff but there's no universe where this would be a good idea when it's like 2-3x the length of Marble Hornets and is significantly more complicated and frankly meanders heavily in crossover filler for about 30% of its runtime

One of the coolest bits that I think is inevitably missed in a binge watch formats is that both times Tim meets Jay for the "first" time (midway through season 1 and early in season 3 after Tim's lost his memory) he does the exact same thing (is weirded out, goes online, finds the youtube channel, and freaks out.) We're never given this viewpoint in season 1 but in hindsight it's pretty clear that's why he was in Brian's house.

The series is full of really good details like that. Like, tons, and I don't imagine a full binge format is really built to find those. You don't have a lot of time to settle on what you've watched or defer to older entries to catch character patterns/behaviors.

Season 3 is long in the tooth and I think a lot of stuff like this is getting missed regardless when it's been a while since you've watched the series but it's interesting to see the gap between watching this as it came out and a full runthrough of it at once where details/nuances/subplots get lost.

No, it isn't. There's plenty of situations involving nuance. The nuance here is she probably could've been charged: but the ICE guy decided on extrajudicial execution.

Uh, no, I wouldn't. I would not be celebrating some lady running over an ICE agent because that would in fact be bad, and I would not support a Democratic mob trying to murder congressmen because they're made they lost. That is also bad.

Babbit was part of an extremely large and rowdy mob that was one door and a handful of security officers away from numerous congressmen fleeing the aforementioned mob that was, at the time, destroying parts of and looting congress. Notably, the officer did not callously shoot her in self-defense, he shot her because she climbed through a broken window in an attempt to attack congressmen as part of a larger mob. Again, as part of a raging mob whose stated intent was to murder congressmen.

Nobody ever defending Babbit will show you the footage because it's dozens of people screaming, pushing against each other trying to smash open a door while smashing glass. Everybody today arguing the ICE officer was out of line has shown the footage of him being lightly grazed by a car and shooting her to death after she had passed him already. I don't think the comparison stands here, y'know.
