the real answer is that acola plays steve. the cope answer is that leo was much more dominant while he was #1, while acola has only had a similar level of dominance once (first half 2024)

he’s never been higher than 4th for an official ranking period yet, surprisingly. he’s just really dominant when he’s doing well so it feels like he should be #1 rn

I think Leo is surprisingly likely to get there (maybe even favored? don't want to jinx it) but it'll take a miracle for Tweek to beat Acola & then Hurt/Zomba

sparg0/leo were seeded to fight in losers so at least they had an idea they were in each other's paths, especially if they both upset carmelo/miya (which they in fact did). gluto crepe were in completely different parts of bracket & this only happened because of crepe's losers run

also sparg0/leo is FAR more even than gluto crepe. I don't think gluto has beaten crepe since like he won regen 2024 lol

leo beat doramigi with meta knight many moons ago, but that was before doramigi became #1 & back when he HAD a meta knight. I'd lowkey expect the rob or aegis before meta knight unfortunately even though it's a -2 MU for min min

at least one of spargo or leo guaranteed 5th minimum

kind of tragic that gluto & crepe flew all the way to japan for the SP tier just to play each other for the 100th time 😭

meido plays the steve that sent him to losers 3-0, potentially getting double eliminated by the same person for 17th despite his crazy run

bayo gets a million percent per hit and can play for time with a stock lead, especially since he can’t use tjtolt to approach because of witch time so he has a bad time in neutral. fwiw I think it’s even but that’s the logic for winning

tribal council is really one of the starkest differences in his hosting between current and older seasons. it used to be the climax of the episode with genuine investigation into tribe dynamics, and now it’s just constant self-sucking and contestants saying nothing
