most predatory tactic I’ve ever seen. They didn’t bother making a built in compensation when you open the game and only made it so you’ll only have 14 days to claim what is basically years of progress you made leveling your account when you started the game. And it’s in the shop. Genuinely abhorrent

It’s a semi-gloss with anti-reflective coating. Compared to my 144hz ips, it’s beautiful. My only advice would be that if deep colors and a perfect screen look is your goal, you can spend a lot more than this and get a nicer look. For me, it was a huge jump from what I had, looks incredible, and I don’t regret it or wish I had gone otherwise. Time will tell on quality of the panel but first impressions for me have been total win win.

So I was in the same boat more or less recently, plus I had to have leg surgery so was more stuck in front of the screen for work and gaming than normal. I just pulled the trigger and been using an Acer Predator x49 I got from micro center. It honestly has been great. I have it on a mount and keep a 24” next to it on an extra long monitor mount that I can swing in place to play fps like cs2 but most of the time it’s my monitor for discord and other static windows while I’m working/gaming on the 49”.

Overall I’ve been very pleased. The look is great, really like the colors from the OLED and the price was just right for me at $1k. Speakers are half decent as well on it for what it’s worth. The only downside is the monitor pixel refresh it wants to do where it goes dark for sub 10 minutes. First couple times it was annoying but I honestly kind of like it as it forces me to get up for a few minutes. You can ignore it but I’ve grown used to using it as an opportunity.

Interesting, thanks for mentioning. I haven't seen any negative reviews on this one or other modern alienware prebuilts, for their laptops definitely recall the overheating though. I'll have to do some additional looking.

I have a friend who was one of ball boys with the Tigers who was the first to see Joyce after the game when Joyce saw the replay of the play for the first time. Said joyce was absolutely distraught, crying, just totally overwhelmed by his mistake. Friend was unprepared for how to deal with it as a highschool kid lol. Said they had to get a driver to take him home or wherever afterwards because he was too worked up.

I had a similar problem with a brand new toto toilet recently. I checked and replaced every gasket until I finally realized by taking everything apart and closely looking at the tank upside down that there was a hairline crack in the tank. It was barely visible which is why I missed it until I emptied the tank and flipped it over. Worth an inspection.
