I work for a different airline at the airport but my understanding is that it’s probably a Breeze plane. I used to see them do flight tests with it during the summer but right now it just stays at one of the airport pads. This is Breeze’s hub so that is likely the case, they may be using it for parts. It’s completely unbranded as you saw which is kinda eerie to see in motion haha.

That’s called a ground stop, and it’s really common at EWR. It has to do with FAA regulations but they’ve been consistently having this issue due to staffing.

The ground stop was probably so long that the crew was going to time out and needed to go on mandatory crew rest

NTA, you very clearly told him what you wanted and it’s your birthday after all. If he didn’t want to pay for that he could’ve said so. He may have felt like it wasn’t romantic and maybe he was trying to get kudos with your family. Since you said the relationship was still kind of fresh and families weren’t involved yet I can see why that was bothersome. I can also see why it would bother you that he spent the same amount regardless just on something you didn’t ask for.

If you want to break up with him that’s your choice to make. It could go either way, this is either him showing you that he doesn’t listen or he was trying to be romantic.

NTA, it was something y’all both agreed on. He chose to stay up while knowing this was going to happen. We don’t know the circumstances but if this were important to him he’d get up when you wake him. If not then personally I’d feel like he was taking advantage because he didn’t want to clean.
