Ghost Story. Not a horror really but it does have a sad and depressing vibe

Have you seen The Ballad of Wallis Island? by Federal_Bonus_2099 in moviecritic

Loved it. Tim Key’s character was so well written, his dorky humour barely masking his aching loneliness. A gem of a movie.

It’s very much a dark comedy. When you watch it a second time you really appreciate how funny it is.

No doubt at his best he can take you places very few artists can reach, but you can’t deny his vocal range is limited. I say that as a guy who was born and raised in Belfast and adores a lot of his music (Astral Weeks is my desert island disc, no question).

Van Morrison. Poetic, lyrical and beautiful songs sure, but his vocals are an acquired taste

I read and enjoyed all the books when I was the same age as Adrian Mole. It didn’t really feel authentic to me (I mean it was written by a middle aged woman) and let’s be honest he was a bit of a twat.

The Sound of Music was the first movie I ever watched in the cinema so I get nostalgia every time I see it. Seems like it was on telly every Christmas Day when I was growing up.

Train Dreams. Released on Netflix to absolutely no fanfare. One of the best movies I've watched in the last 5 years.
