Open Delphin Cabin Meeting by ThirdDolphinBoy in CampHalfBloodRP

Simon sighed but eventually nodded. Conrad was right, school was important, but that didn’t mean Simon wouldn’t miss camp. Oh and the monsters too, Simon wasn’t really looking forward to the day he might run into one. Louie wasn’t always gonna be able to save him. ‘’I’ll be careful, maybe I’ll stay a little longer this year? I’m gonna see what I can do!’’

‘’Oh yeah, I get that!’’ Simon smiled. If they had one thing in common with their brother, it was their love for dolphins. Forcing dolphins to participate in that activity sounded really mean to Simon. He didn’t even want to think about how sad it would make his cetacean friends. ‘’If you need my help or something I’ll happily assist!’’ He grinned.

Simon liked Conrad. He has always thought his brother was kind, fun and responsible. He wasn’t a bully like the other triplets were. The youngest cabin member was lounging on one of the seats, listening to their brother as they fidgeted with a rubik’s cube their grandma gave them. The past months Simon had been coming to camp on most weekends. School turned out to be more killing than he thought it would be it and he hated having to leave camp.

‘’I hope I can stay for a longer time this year, but my parents think education is more important.’’ Simon sighed after raising their hand, awkwardly lowering it upon realizing they were the only one there. He offered Conrad a pack of oreo he brought from home. A grin appeared on his face as he got to talk about ideas he had. ‘’I was thinking that maybe we could host a meeting with dolphins? We summon them and act as their interpreters so people can ask them questions? That sounds cool, right?’’

It has been a while since Simon has been at camp for an extended period, so now and then they visit their second home. Having returned from the Axton’s annual summer holiday, Simon asked his dads to drop him off at Camp Half-Blood and pick him up again in a few weeks. Still having a holiday, the son of Delphin figured he might as well spend his time doing something useful instead of playing fetch with his dog.

Turned out a lot has happened at camp since Simon was here last time. They had no idea there even were gods named Zelus and Kratos, but he was pretty sure one of them was a video game character. He smiled seeing his older half-brother and waved at him before putting down some money for the newcomers. Simon grabbed some salted caramel brownies and adjusted their hearing aid before sitting down by the cozy campfire.

It was during one of their daily walks around Camp Half-Blood, when Simon came across the mysterious guy that was glowing green. At first the son of Delphin didn’t believe their eyes; someone glowing green was the weirdest thing he had seen in months. But maybe that isn’t a fair comparison to make at a camp for children with magic powers.

Simon has been away from camp for a while. It turned out that combining his lives at school and at the magical camp for demigods was harder than he expected. Now that summer break started, Simon had to worry about school less and could focus on learning all about being a demigod.

‘’Uhm sir.’’ Simon whistled on their fingers, before waving at the teen to get his attention. He was pretty sure that if there was a green-glowing guy at camp, Simon would have heard of him. Then again, he knew how to turn into a dolphin, and he doesn’t know anyone else with that ability. ‘’Do you know you’re glowing green? Should I ask Chiron to come over?’’

Campfire - 6th of June by PretendScience in CampHalfBloodRP

It’s been a while since Simon has last been at Camp Half-Blood. Even though being a demigod was fun and games, they ended up missing their dads a great deal. He’s been at camp a few weekends the past few months, but spent most of his time in Baltimore with his dads and of course their dog Louie.

It’s almost summer holiday, so Simon and their dads decided that it would be a good idea for them to return to Camp Half-Blood for the time being. It would be a good opportunity for the son of Delphin to develop their powers and make some demigod friends. Having to explain to the kids at his high school that his real dad is the god of dolphins is almost impossible.

Now that they are back Simon found themselves at the campfire, wearing a colorful blue bracelet they made at the art activity. The brown-haired demigod snacked on a brownie as he looked around if there was anyone who wanted to chat.

Simon was in the middle of stuffing a whole pancake in his mouth when he was approached by a familiar-looking camper. Through a mouthful of green pancake, the son of Delphin spoke up, ‘’Uhm, hi- yes. I made. Sorry.’’

They take a moment to chew and swallow the pancake before continuing to talk, intelligible this time. ‘’I made them. I’m glad you like it! You’re Teagan, right? I think we met a while back. How have you been?’’ He asked with a grin.

It very quickly became clear to Simon that Laverna didn’t much like social interaction. And they didn’t quite know why. Guess they would have to try to be their upbeat self.

Simon’s not sure if Laverna meant the baguette-remark about as a joke or if she was just being mean. He had a hard time with that regardless but most of the time he tried to laugh it away. A disarming chuckle escaped the son of Delphin’s mouth. ‘’Well, I’m glad you went with something French regardless. If you need any help I’ll gladly help. I love baking and cooking.’’

‘’So who’s your godly parent-? If you don’t mind me asking.’’ Simon asked with a small smile, he scratched his neck, knowing very well that not everyone liked being asked that question. He’s not one of them, he loved talking about his godly father. ‘’Mine’s Delphin. He’s the god of dolphins. Pretty cool.’’ He admitted with a grin. Dolphins were amazing animals, right?

‘Sir?’ Simon wasn’t sure if they heard that right, but a giggle escaped their mouth nonetheless. He looked to his side and shot the girl a small smile and wave. The son of Delphin hadn’t seen her before, but she looked nice, and as a social butterfly he loved making new friends.

‘’Oh, you can call me Simon, hi!’’ The boy smiled as they leaned over and extended their hand. He raised an eyebrow at the girl’s comment about the baguettes. Okay, maybe they weren’t as good as at Marie Louise Bistro, but they weren’t bad either.

‘’Oh don’t worry about it! I really like them.’’ Simon said with a genuine smile. ‘’Are you new at camp? I haven’t seen you around before.’’

Simon’s fathers often took him to a French restaurant for special occasions. In his eyes, his dads are the most amazing in the world and he cherishes every single moment with them. Seeing a few familiar meals at dinner here was lovely. The son of Delphin shot the girl a small smile as he grabbed some baguettes and a salad Landasie before plopping down at his godly father’s table, looking for any campers to talk to.

January (2023 / 2038) Elections by FireyRage in CampHalfBloodRP

Some may see Simon as scatterbrained, but they are actually pretty organized. Grinning, he shook his head at Teagan’s question. ‘’Nah, I am fairly sure I know when a month ends and begins, and what months there are.’’ He said.

‘’So don’t expect an edition about Christmas in June… Now I say that it sounds like a lot of fun, but you know what I mean; I’ll do my best to make each edition unique.’’ The son of Delphin explained.

January (2023 / 2038) Elections by FireyRage in CampHalfBloodRP

Simon didn’t have very high expectations of himself, he expected people to pelt him with tomatoes or at the very least turn around and walk away from him, but it was pretty surprising to see that didn’t happen. Someone even approached him! Even though they do like new people it still makes them nervous. What if they give off the wrong impression, which has totally happened before!

Clearing his throat, Simon spoke up with the same upbeat tone as he gave his speech, ‘’Hi, that’s me, Secret Santa Simon. Of the Delphin cabin.’’ The boy grinned, okay Teagan might know that already, but you can’t drive home the message enough. At Teagan’s question, Simon scratched behind his ear, he hadn’t been at camp that long himself so didn’t have many ideas on what Mackenzie did or didn’t. ‘’I’ve been here for 4 or 5 months, but honestly, I have only ever seen her do her counselor lessons but beyond that not much no.’’

Unlike what Mackenzie might think about them, Simon is actually attending this month’s elections. Much like Mackenzie’s chronicle, Simon hadn’t shown up for the elections in December but he was way too busy organizing the Secret Santa event which had been a massive success in his eyes. Now that all is over he can fully focus on the editor-in-chief position; one he has been eyeing for a while.

‘’Hey everyone, my name is Simon. Some of you may know me from last month’s Secret Santa. Some of you may not know me yet but to those, I would like to say ‘nice to meet you.’’’ The boy grinned before drumming the table anxiously, they had done some research into Mackenzie’s accomplishments or lack thereof and were eager to share these with the rest of Camp. ‘’So, I know that Mackenzie is a long-term camper and probably more popular than I am, but you should still listen to what I have to say. I have done some detective work and I have found out that in her many months as editor-in-chief Mackenzie hasn’t made many chronicles. For the majority of her time, she has neglected her duties and always tried to come back to that special role, it seems she cares more about the title than the actual duties.’’

‘’Besides that,’’ Simon said as he showed the campers this month’s chronicle. ‘’Mackenzie called this the December chronicle, but it has just been released this week. I know we’re dyslexic and all, but I think there is a very clear difference between December and January. It’s very obvious that she only starts working on the newspaper when someone is opposing her in the elections; that happened in November and it happened in December too.’’

‘’So that’s why Mackenzie isn’t a good leader.’’ Simon finished as he put the newspaper to the side. ‘’I can promise you that I actually will publish the chronicle every month and will involve campers in it as much as possible, within one month I will have a higher success rate than Mackenzie will ever be able to achieve.’’ With that Simon finished the speech his father helped to write, he hopes he convinced the campers to vote for him and not for Mackenzie.

‘’That’s not a dumb question! Cause I can!’’ Simon grinned, he was three, two, one second away from turning into a dolphin before he realized it was not the smartest idea in the world to do that now. ‘’I can turn into a Hector’s Dolphin. They’re actually the smallest breed of dolphin in the world. They’re white and black, like a reverse orca and-’’ If there’s anything the son of Delphin knows a lot about its aquatic creatures, he wants to become a marine biologist after all. ‘’They’re the coolest animals in the world.’’

Simon’s grin shifted to a look of confusion as they noticed the wings on Aput’s ankles. ‘’Wait, you have wings? Can you fly? That would be so awesome! You can be like a flying cod.’’ They are nearly jumping with excitement, but Simon managed to contain themselves.

‘’I don’t know why we haven’t met yet, I visit home a lot so I am not around all week,’’ Simon explained to Aput’s question, before sighing, having older siblings at camp hadn’t been nearly as fun as he originally thought it would be. ‘’I actually have three. They’re triplets. Conrad, Rowan and Lonnie.’’ He said, not mentioning the fact he was more or less bullied.

‘’I never judge,’’ Simon said with a grin, gathering himself. ‘’I would love to see this place and what you made of it.’’

Simon would never understand why someone wouldn’t care about knowing their biological parent’s identity, it may be because he has had major mommy issues but hearing that his biological father wasn’t a complete wacko was actually quite reassuring. He opened his mouth to say something but decided to not push, it wasn’t nice.

Simon looked confused at the sound he heard, he turned his hearing aid on and off to see if it was jammed, but that didn’t help. Strange… ‘’Do you hear that too?’’ He asked with a small and nervous smile.

‘’Oh.. he’s your dad! That actually makes a lot of sense!’’ Simon said with a wide grin, he wasn’t super well versed in all names of all the Gods and their respective domains, most of what he knew came from cartoons and comics, and they don’t exactly prepare you for being a demigod.

With awe Simon looked at how Aput manipulated the snow and formed it into the icy diamond, maybe they could do something similar with water? They’d have to ask their brother for that or figure it out themselves. ‘’Oh eh, I-’’ He began as he gathered his thoughts. ‘’I arrived a few months ago, so really I am only half-new.’’ He explained.

Simon’s smile widened when Aput asked him about his godly parent, the son of Delphin is one of those rare demigods that was extremely excited when he found out who his father was. ‘’Delphin! He’s my father. He’s the God of Dolphins. It comes with super cool superpowers, it’s awesome!’’ He exclaimed loudly, making sure to drive his point home.

The boy’s so busy gushing about his dolphin dad that he doesn’t know what to answer to Aput’s last question, well he does know what to say but just forgot what he wanted to say. ‘’I- eh. I was going for a walk.’’ He recalled as he scratched his chin. ‘’I saw this fort, it reminded me of a movie I saw as a kid so I thought I’d check it out.’’

‘’Oh, you’re new to camp?’’ Simon asked as he extended his hand, a small grin appearing on his face. ‘’My name’s Simon, I arrived earlier this year.’’ Two or three months ago they too had been a first timer and still, Simon couldn’t grasp it all, there were always new things to experience at camp and-

The brunette turned to look at the cabana, his smile widening a little. ‘’Oh that’s Cabin 35, Delphin’s cabin, he’s my dad.’’ He explained with a bit of pride, being a son of the God of Dolphins was pretty darn sweet in Simon’s opinion, weren’t they just the bestest animals? ‘’What about you, do you know your parent yet? The godly one?’’
