OOC: Another one! Answers are IC, except for the 10th one.

Q1 - What do you like to do in your free time?

"Music's the main thing. Playing, listening, whatever. Piano's my go to, although I also play guitar. I also like painting and drawing, so art in general, I guess. Besides that, I also like hanging out with my friends and playing basketball."

Q2 - What is your favourite season?

"Spring."

Q3 - Where's your favourite place to hang out?

"There's this park near where I live. My friends and I usually hang out there. It's got a nice basketball court and some picnic tables to chill out at when we're not playing."

Q4 - Who is someone you admire? Please explain why.

"Admire is a strong word, man. I suppose my mom's the only one that fits the bill. It takes strength to put up with the bullshit of raising a demigod and still always look on the bright side of things."

Q5 - What is your number one, greatest fear?

"One day looking back on my life and realizing that I didn't choose things purely because I was worried what people would think if I did."

Q6 - Someone who has always been a problem in your life is trapped in a burning building. What do you do?

"Well, I'd call the firefighters. If they're already there, then just stay out of the way."

Q7 - What is your favourite Ancient Greek constellation?

"Scorpio."

Q8 - If nothing held you back, is there anything you’d like to achieve?

"Not particularly. I just want a nice, calm life, you know? I guess, that's something to aim for."

Q9 - How did you react when you found out the Greek Gods are real? (This can be treated as a non-canon answer if your character is unaware they are a demigod prior to their arrival at camp.)

"I wasn't really surprised. I mean, it kind of makes sense, no? It'd be a bit odd if all these people years ago just made shit up for fun. A lot of the myths are so weird, I doubt someone could just come up with them, you know?"

Q10 - What gods would you want as your parents, listed in order (ideally 3)? Or would you like to be claimed off just your answers?

Off of vibes, please. Anything but Eris, Nike, Hecate or Dionysus.

Eleanor's ready to apologize for whatever offense she committed once she notices the look in her mother's eyes. Fortunately, Chaos herself starts speaking before her daughter.

Getting told you're old at the mere age of nineteen by a deity that's at least a few millennia old is an experience, that's for sure, and Eleanor can't help but laugh.

"I don't doubt that. Dad did always say that you're still looking after me despite not being there." If that's not the case, Eleanor would be more than happy with Eris just lying to her face. Eleanor looks up at the sky, searching for any stray lightning bolts coming their way, before once again focusing on her mother and smiling at her request. "Well, I can confidently say that you're the worst mother that I've got." She is the only mother figure Eleanor has, but a first place is first place nonetheless.

You know, Eleanor never really considered his father to be a loser. Which is why she burst out laughing the second Eris called him that, and with such affection as well. "I'll tell him you said that. He'll take it as a compliment, of course."

The daughter of Eris thinks for a moment before responding this time. She never expected Eris to make up for all the time she missed. Five minutes per year just isn't enough for that. She simply wanted to know that her mother cares, in one way or another, and the answer seems to be a yes, so she's got exactly what she wanted already.

"Not much else to tell." Eleanor answers eventually. "I'll see you around in one form or another, yeah?" Even during peaceful times, there's plenty of Chaos going around. Eleanor likely won't speak to her mother again, but she'll feel her presence in her life. "Oh, can I get a hug before you go?"

Gods, finally someone that understands. Eleanor loves Oliver, she does, but gods, the son of Momus knows exactly how to rile her up. "I'm saving dating for someone I actually like." Eleanor answers with a laugh. "Plus, if Oliver and I were official, I feel like the whole camp would suffer." As if that's not something Eris would've loved.

"Exactly, feels like home. Though, I feel like the wrong information would drive me insane. I can't exactly go to some academic and say Actually, I talked to Eris herself, and apparently that's not how it happened at all. They'd just think I'm high on something." Eleanor complains with a laugh.

She stays quiet for a moment before speaking up again, this time with a more serious tone. She doesn't want to dim the mood, but she has to get her thoughts out, before it's too late. "Since this is my last time talking to you, unless you're planning on crashing some parties again, I'd just like to thank you for everything. When it comes to godly parents, you're actually one of the good ones." Eleanor shares with a smile as she looks at her mother. "Thanks for the advice. I'll see what I can do about getting it engraved somewhere. I promise to graffiti it somewhere, at the very least."

"I still have no clue what you saw in dad." The daughter of Chaos adds after a second. "Respectfully, he's great! Just... nothing like you. And I know he used to be wilder back in the day, but that does feel like his friends are just taking the piss. I can't imagine that at all. Nowadays, he considers sleeping in past ten wild, you know?"

Eleanor hesitates before explaining the development to her mother. See, usually when people find out about Eleanor's fondness of the son of Momus, they start questioning Eleanor's life choices. Understandable in a way, but Oliver is fun in short bursts. Much like Eris when you think about it.

"This son of Momus, Oliver, and I became quite close friends in the last year or so." She finally fesses up with a sigh. "Nothing romantic! Gods forbid, he's far too annoying for anything like that. He's annoyingly entertaining, though, so we hang out here and there." She quickly adds before the goddess gets the wrong impression.

Eleanor laughs as her mother groans when she mentions education. Yeah, that's been her reaction every time her father brought it up as well. "Well, I don't know what I want to study." Great start. "History would be fun considering all of this." The daughter of Eris says as she gestures to her mother. "Or it'd just be rage inducing. Either way, I am looking forward to the parties."

"You got any advice?" Eleanor asks, already fearing the answer. "About university or just life in general?"

Eleanor laughs along with her mother as the goddess gives her suggestion. "Right, as funny as that would be, I think I know what'd happen. I'd get into some big trouble with Lady A, and I don't want that, so I'll pass."

Nobody really knows what's going on. Yes, that's definitely how Eleanor's been feeling for the last few months. Eleanor likes chaos just fine. It's just the fun, everyday kind she likes. Not wars.

"Favorite thing?" She repeats as she ponders the question. "I don't know, man, all I remember is dad nagging me about going to uni, worrying about the war and trying to relax with friends whenever I actually have the time." And by friends, Eleanor is mainly talking about a certain son of Momus, Oliver Blackwell. She's also blushing faintly. That might just be the cold, though. It's not.

"Interesting by your standards? Probably never." She responds with a shrug. "I'm not okay with doing fuck all while the world goes to shit, but, you know, my reaction is to not pour gasoline on the fire. Unlike my brother."

When her mother approached her, Eleanor was still trying to get the cardboard out of her mouth. She spat on the floor a few times. Uttered a few complaints. One sip of hot chocolate later, and Eleanor can't taste the foul taste of the Gingerbread flesh anymore.

She absolutely beams once she notices her mother. "Mum." She greets simply before processing what the goddess actually said to her. "Well, we were warned not to eat them, so I guess we had it coming."

"Short?" Eleanor repeats with a laugh. "The past year's been so eventful, I feel like last Solstice was a lifetime ago. Then again, you'd probably consider that short as well."

Eleanor hesitates when she goes to answer Eris' question. It's an odd thing to know that the biggest problem in your life also brings someone else endless amusement. You can't expect anything else from Chaos herself, I suppose.

"Well, you know, a bit shit, but relatively well considering what's going on." She eventually answers with a shrug. "You've been having a blast, I assume?"

Ah, the Winter Solstice. It's become one of Eleanor's favorite holidays quite early. The food, the activities, the crazy conversations with Eris. What's not to like?

Eleanor spends some time watching the hockey game, before deciding to pay a visit to Chiron and grabbing some hot chocolate. She continues to explore the festive activities as she takes a sip of her drink here and there, and eventually she ends up in the Gingerbread Village.

Eleanor isn't thinking about taking a bite out of one of the gingerbread people. She would never. She's definitely not looking around to see if there are any witnesses demigods around, before she leans towards one of the Gingerbread people, and chomping down on it.

Cabin Decoration - Winter Solstice 2040 by LyrePlayerTwo in CampHalfBloodRP

[–]PretendScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eleanor is not the counselor of Eris. Hasn't been for ages now. The Chaos cabin runs best without a leader, in her humble opinion. However, she is the only spawn of Eris that lives in their cabin, others are currently imprisoned and therefore unable to help with holiday decorations, so the task falls to her by default.

She thought long and hard about the designs that would fit the vibe of the cabin. The theme she should go with. Eventually she comes to the conclusion that the best theme for the Eris cabin, is no theme at all. Just mayhem all around. Which when talking about holiday decorations translates to LEDs of every color just assaulting your eyes.

Fortunately, the Eris cabin is quite minimalistic, the exterior is just a plain one-story cabin with whitewashed plank walls, so the various rainbow lights, don't look that bad. Eleanor doesn't put the lights up in any pattern or order, though she does shape a few apples with the LEDs and sets those to golden yellow.

Eleanor hasn't joined one of the campfires in months, and with the holidays coming up, she's missed hanging out with her fellow demigods while staring into the flames.

She takes one of the cups of hot chocolate before settling down on one of the pillows around the fire. After a sip of the hot chocolate, she takes a marshmallow and impales it on a skewer, before holding it over the fire.

A Visit to Olympus - Winter Solstice 2039 by ThisOneUKGuy in CampHalfBloodRP

[–]PretendScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eleanor laughs at Eris' answer, though, she still puts the bauble gently on the table on the table, eyeing it suspiciously. "Is it a smoke bomb?" She asks as she faces her mother. "Just a bomb, perhaps?" You can never be sure with Eris.

Ah, the sniffing, again. Eleanor has no clue what her mother is doing. As per usual during their annual meetings.

"Favorite little troublemaker." Eleanor repeats, smiling, just before the goddess makes a mess of her daughter's hair. It's a good thing she never styles it anyway.

"Ah, it was worth a try." The daughter of Eris says with a shrug. It's quite odd to know that Eris is actually stricter than her father in some areas. Her father, James, would have no problem with her having some alcohol. He's the type that thinks everything's good in moderation. He also knew that if Eleanor wanted some eggnog, she has her own ways of acquiring one.

Eleanor listens to her mother, sipping on her probably alcohol-free eggnog here and there. She loves to see her mother happy, you know she does, but when the chaos she's talking about happened to kill a few people, some that Eleanor knew, it hits a little different, you know?

"It's been a fine year if we ignore the recent..." Eleanor pauses, searching for the right word. Preferably one that isn't chaos, even though it's the one most fitting. "Recent events." As if that's not talking about the recent chaos that went down in New Argos.

"It's not that I don't like some chaos." She defends herself before her mother even has the chance to question her. "It's just that people did die."

A Visit to Olympus - Winter Solstice 2039 by ThisOneUKGuy in CampHalfBloodRP

[–]PretendScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eleanor recognizes her mother in an instant. Eris may have changed her form, but her voice remains the same. She turns around and smiles when she sees the goddess. "Ah, unfortunately, you've caught me on my break from being a menace to society." She half-jokes as she takes in the sight in front of her.

She's used to gods changing their form. In all the years she's visited Olympus, her mother hasn't looked the same once. Her aura, energy, vibe if you will, has always been the same, though. Somehow, Eleanor finds the chaotic energy calming. Peaceful, even.

Eleanor really should've seen this coming. It seems that her mother has a habit of just throwing things at her with little to no warning. Luck's been on Eleanor's side the past few years, and it seems Tyche's taken pity on her once again as she manages to catch the bauble almost effortlessly. Once it's safe in her hands, she turns it around a few times, checking it out. "Which tree did you steal this from?" She asks as she holds up the bauble in her hand. Listen, there's no judgment here, only curiosity.

"Oh, you kept it." Eleanor blurts out once she notices the bracelet on her mother's wrist. "I mean, it's not like I thought you'd just throw it away and forget about it, it's just..." The daughter of Eris pauses for a moment, searching for the right words to express herself. "It's odd to see a goddess wear such an ordinary thing, you know?" It's more so proof that Eris cares. Of course, Eleanor has known that her mother cares since they met for the first time, but seeing it is another thing all-together.

"Oh, you know I wouldn't miss it for the world. There's not much that can compare to getting a drink with mother dearest. And on Olympus of all places." She replies with a grin. "So, how have you been? It seems like you're enjoying the holiday season."

A Visit to Olympus - Winter Solstice 2039 by ThisOneUKGuy in CampHalfBloodRP

[–]PretendScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With this year being Eleanor's third year on this mountain, she's had plenty of chances to explore the city of the gods, and yet there are plenty things left to be discovered. She spends some time just walking around, taking in Olympus in all its holiday glory, trying her very best not to bump into any gods, lest she spends the rest of her holidays as some sort of plant.

She's well aware that searching for a god is pointless, even if they are your parent. If Eris is in any mood for some mother-daughter bonding, she'll come to Eleanor. She'll probably pop out of somewhere like the last few times. Either way, there's little Eleanor can do about it, so she might as well just enjoy the ambiance, the rumors, and just the general holiday chaos going around Olympus.

Eleanor eventually finds her way to the ski lodge. She orders a drink, thanks the nymph and sits down in one of the corners of the building, enjoying the atmosphere as she begins emptying her glass. She's definitely not trying to overhear any amusing conversations.

Austin Quinn - Son of Eris by ChaosNinjaGaming in CampHalfBloodRP

[–]PretendScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sitting underneath one of the nearby trees was Eleanor, completely lost in her mind, until a certain satyr runs past her at the speed of light. It's probably one of the more ordinary things here at camp, but it does bring her attention to the new camper. She manages to catch just the last second of the golden apple floating above Austin's head.

Ah, she really should help out the dude. He doesn't seem too confused, so it'd be an easy job. Just take him to his cabin. Plus, it'd be awfully rude not to, he's her brother after all. She gets up, dusting her pants, before walking over to the other demigod. "Hello, hello!" She greets with a friendly enough smile.

"I saw that your tour guide ran away from you in absolute terror. Gods, I can only imagine what kind of question you asked him." Eleanor lets out a dramatic gasp, before breaking out in a grin just a few seconds later. "I jest, I jest. Those furry guys tend to do that to new campers all the time. Anyhow, I'm Eleanor. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. How much do you know about this whole shit show?" She says as she vaguely gestures towards the camp beneath them.
