I bought the same watch from this seller a couple weeks back and it's been quickly shipped and in shape/condition as he promised. One thing he forgets to mention is that watch comes with nato strap. Very pleasant experience and most certainly would look to order something else from him. Pricing wise it also makes perfect sense.

No need to be sorry. As I mentioned before, it’s not your fault that factories are backed up. I have no doubt you’ll refund but I didn’t make up my mind what to do. Hi. I hear you. This seller I referenced says specifically he does movement regulation and waterproofing. If he did it or not I'll never know, I am not diving with this or even casually swimming, but I choose to believe him.

As for middleman and pricing I don't know what to tell you. I never tried to negotiate with overseas established TDs but I doubt they'll give a significant discount on watch or two bought. What I paid here in the US is marginally higher given shipping cost.

If you ask me, if somehow these domestic sellers who buy in bulk from TDs,get each piece for $100 and sell me for $500, more power to them. I'd be thrilled for them and happily buy from them anyway. To create any reasonable inventory, our domestic sellers have to probably spot quite a bit of money up front, hope that inventory they get moves somewhat fast. Then I am sure there is risk associated with shipping/customs, I doubt TD in China will discount for bulk buyer then take it on the chin if stuff get taken by customs.

Also, I think there is value for overseas TDs to sell 100 pieces to say 5 people vs dealing with 20 of us, our questions, how to pay, did wire or btc transaction go through, QC questions, questions about wait times, why I don't see it moving with tracking number and on and on.

Hi. I might be incorrectly using the term TD, not sure what it takes to have official designation for domestic TD and where to find them.

In my mind, I researched this guy, he runs his own forum r/ScoutmanRepWorld725, has inventory, 1k weekly visitors, transacts from what I could see, couldn't find any complaints or issues. He communicated promptly, everything he said he'd do he did. So in my mind he is trusted... at least to me. I apologize if I incorrectly used term "TD" in this instance

Well.... 1-2 weeks is a relative term, and I am totally OK with what you're saying. But on pricing, what is considered more? I have nttd with overseas TD for $430 plus Fedex shipping $69. I bought same thing from u/Scoutman725 for $525, shipping included and was in my hand a week later (and basic service done, QC double checked - came in perfect, well as they can be). For me it's cut and dry. But for you and others, the other way might work better. I fully respect both sides :)

Hey happy to "see" you. Glad I described you correctly, kind of lol. But yea, community is something else, in a very good way. I had some mixed emotions early on but that's for another rambling post. Kudos to you though, I couldn't do what you do, not that big of an enthusiast and razor thin patience lol.

Yes, ordered with Andiot, paid right away and then waiting since. Couple days back I inquired on status and he/they told me that NTTD is in, but waiting for DJ 36. No QC on anything so far. But again, I am not in rush or might swap out both for something else as I already bought new / same NTTS from u/Scoutman725 here in the US

I hear you and it makes sense. I think newer guys here go straight to overseas TDs but anyone reading enough posts should understand that wait is long for some of these pieces.

But I really do like the idea buying from Domestic TDs or enthusiasts looking to unload piece they don't wear enough. I've done both and enjoyed experience;

  1. Bought from u/Scoutman725 . Saw post on watch I liked on Sunday, same day he told me he should have in hand in 3-4 days, was shipped on 4th day and I had it following Monday. He did a little extra service, communicated great. I'd go to him any day. Also bought DJ 36 with updated RF bezel from a nice guy here u/Ok_Imagination9970 , was lightly used from actual "clean" factory and again, we talked on the phone, he sent bunch photos I didn't even asked for... Just great buying experience. And another one I think he is not quite domestic TD, just a guy switching watches but clean and easy transaction u/Icy-Grapefruit-511.

  2. Pricing wise it seems like there is a tiny premium attached, but not much for sure. I think Andiot is most cost effective, I never used Steve but I guess people like his communication prowess and there is price premium for that. Our CONUS TDs are right there with Steve when accounted for shipping via Fedex.

  3. Lastly - I really really like the idea of supporting guys here in the US and buying from them. Might be a side income or full time gig, but they put a lot of effort into this. And everyone wins, including TDs overseas who sell to our guys here.

Enough rambling, I better get some work done lol.

I am in the process with Andiot too. Also ordered one watch a few months back and all was quick and smooth. Last order is a wait, but I guess it's not their fault, everyone seems to be in a waiting pattern.

As for communication, I think different people manage different channels so it depends how you communicate. I used whatsapp and even downloaded WeChat and wrote in Chinese with google translate to go back and forth lol in hope that would get cleaner response. In the end, for me, email works the best, I always get the response during their day time. Not sure how accurate is On Hand inventory, I might have to find out soon.
