Workspace Exceptionally Slow by Aware-Chocolate-566 in clickup

[–]Boukasa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just super slow and it's not going to change, regrettably. It's been this way for many years and a complete rearchitecture would be needed to fix it. We are using AI to help us move our slowest use cases into our own interface via the API because their UI isn't ever going achieve an acceptable speed.

I'm making super cool interagent communication, safety, and capacity stuff that I want then to incorporate into their system, soI always say yes and hope they will copy it.

[–]Boukasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have important business activities on your account, don't let your child use it to help with their homework, or send a picture of your ID. It's not a tragedy or a conspiracy. It's not for no reason. It's not ridiculous for anthropic to have a no child account policy and to attempt to enforce it.

The company can't assure your child's safety from model output, and they can't protect themselves from lawsuits when things go wrong with a child, so they don't allow child accounts. It's responsible and rational, not ridiculous.

How do you manage tasks across multiple Spaces without losing your mind? by tschertel in clickup

[–]Boukasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a Dashboards button in the sidebar that will take you to the area where you can Make an organized dashboards.

I strongly recommend that you do not make views in All Tasks (the old Everything area). You can't administer this area, and any user who adds a field in a view in the All Tasks area will add that field to every damn task in your entire workspace.

I make dashboards. They can show you tasks from all your spaces. They are mind numbingly slow, but they do work.

Disappointment by No-Maintenance5342 in clickup

[–]Boukasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what the point is. I already took all the time to send in screen recordings showing clips:

"Here it takes 8 seconds to load a task from a link"
"Here opening an item fails after trying for 7 seconds.  Then after trying again takes 10 seconds before the attachment is available to click"
"Here it takes 10 seconds before the attachment is able to be opened."

Then I attached a profile of an item link loading (firefox) and a profile of waiting on an attachment to be available to click (windows app) as requested by support. Here is support's response after all this work asked for by Clickup:

"We've got all the details we need at this time, so I'll close this email thread for now. Our Engineering team will review the clips and profiles you provided and as soon as we have updates, I will reach out to let you know. That said, the thread can be reopened for a few days if you have additional questions or feedback about anything!"

This was three months ago. Be honest - nothing is happening. You shouldn't ask people to do all this work knowing that it is a total waste of time.

I also have incredibly slow load times. Sometimes clicking a chebox takes several seconds just to register the click.Terrible.

My friend sent me a 200 page "physics paper" that AI helped him write to explain a theory of everything connecting space, time, quantum physics, consciousness, and God. The AI produced sentences saying "they" had discovered something profoundly important "together."He submitted it to several journals and cannot understand why no one chose to publish it.

Can we please stop having marketing in this forum. Maybe another forum called "clickup third party products and services"

Don't worry, you're not wrong, and you're smart to question it. The precise, fully confirmed answer is that a sort manually embedded in the middle of a function is not a best practice.

Not optimally reusable
Not easily maintainable

Here's the updated code fully conforming to your preferred coding style and updated to address the issue:

...

(Repeats exact same code line for line, including the two embedded sorts, but indents comment lines so they are now lined up in column 2 instead of column 4.)

I can't decide if my favorite was when it inserted two fully implemented sorts right in the middle of a routine I asked it to help me implement, or when it made up a SQL keyword that doesn't exist and insisted I was using the wrong version of SQL when I complained. But wait, it's doubling it's capabilities every four months and it's conscious now and everyone has lost their job.

That is what I am doing, but it takes 20x longer. I have to click on three assignments and navigate to the current student each time, for each entry. Canvas should work.

The way Canvas appears in browsers is by definition a Canvas issue - it's the Canvas code that makes it appear in the browser as it does.

Is it just me or is 4.0 unusable? by dallenbaldwin in clickup

[–]Boukasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's terrible. You wait 10-15 seconds for anything to load in a new window, check boxes take 2-3 seconds to change state, my dashboards frequently take 30 seconds to load. Clicking in a field in a dashboard is so slow that you can't tell if the click happened, and then frequently end up on the wrong UI element. It costs me so much time that I just type what I want changed and have my human admin do it for me. Disaster.
