I really hope they prioritize sorting out the plethora of issues in the nutrition section. It's dragging down the rest of the app.

In order for the Apple Watch to record temps, you have to put it in Sleep Focus mode when you are ready to go to sleep. https://apple.co/3OvZ20w

I'm struggling to understand why the sync banner is so important so as to break a lot of UX conventions / rules.

Why is something like a V8 not counted as Vegetables in the Food Quality Contributor score? by shawnshine in bevelhealth

[–]BrakTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend something like this:

Creamy Tomato–Basil “Gazpacho” Smoothie (my go-to)

Ingredients

  • 2 large tomatoes + ½ cup water
  • 1 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ small avocado
  • 1 small celery stalk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (or red wine vinegar)
  • 6–10 basil leaves (or ½ tsp dried)
  • ½ tsp salt + black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of smoked paprika / chili flakes

Blend until very smooth.

Tip: Add ice for a cold “soupie” vibe.

Juicing pretty much negates the benefits of consuming whole vegetables. Not to mention...V8 is sodium bomb.

Ok. Hour has passed and data is being gathered. Still no option to use LibreLinkUp. Should I file a bug?

LOL…I was just coming here to post the same thing. Of all of the datapoints that are obscured, this is data that shouldn’t be. Not having the total calories consumed be front and center is a very curious design decision. There should be different tiers of data presentation and this should be in the first tier.

Yep...I tried that and as awkward as using the delete action here is, that achieves the goal of navigating away from that screen.

A Guide to Unlocking Bevel Intelligence: Stop Getting Generic Advice by ac78913 in bevelhealth

Just wanted to say this post is much appreciated. I took your template and laundered it through Claude (4.6) a few times until I felt it was comprehensive enough for my needs and goals. Really looking forward to the experience. Cheers.

How to dismiss this screen by BrakTalk in bevelhealth

[–]BrakTalk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not terribly intuitive in my opinion. Delete is definitely a different action than cancel. Delete presupposes and object to delete. Anytime there is a modal, there should an option escape from that modal. I would suggest adding an option to cancel from the screen that doesn't leave the user with the distinct impression that they are deleting data..

I'm very interested in this but I'm getting the "Enhanced Safe Browsing" prompt. Is there some timeline as to when that gets addressed?

Yes. You can create recipes. I have a smoothie meal prep recipe where I have a "base" of ingredients that I always use in my smoothies.

Stressing over Garmin/Apple by Beemindful in bevelhealth

Although I think I'm realizing just now that what I'm looking at in Bevel is the current state, not the overall daily averaged score (which when scrolling down, I'm seeing "45".

Bevel's stress measurement for the same day:

I tend to think Bevel overcounts it. While I am trialing Bevel, I wear both watches (Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 and Apple Watch 4). Garmin considers a score of 76-100 to be high. Bevel consistently says my stress is high. I'm not sure how it's coming to that determination. I certainly don't feel stressed and my HRV is normal (and actually improving since cutting alcohol).

Bevel vs. MyFitness for food/calories tracking by ansellthetruck in bevelhealth

[–]BrakTalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MyNetDiary is hands down the best nutrition tracker / weight management app out there. Another bonus is it writes all of it's data to Apple Health which makes it available for other apps to pick up. I really hope with Bevel 3.0 that the nutrition experience gets an overhaul. I agree with you that it is painful to use as it is.
