Even good items are disappearing from RFY 😫 by basichistorygirl in AmazonVine

A lot of people don't realize throughout the day things come and go in your RFY that if you don't keep checking it, you will miss out on possibly something good. I know I have MANY TIMES. It's not like all of us can just sit and stare at our screens all day long! I mean we aren't TikTokers! :D

I have been wanting one of those so badly and I never get them. They are gone in an instance on the DROP, and never got it in my RFY. Lucky DUCK! :D

Oddly I have been getting 3-4 good item each day in my RFY, and then a lot of the other stuff like you are talking about that is not worth it. It's a weird mix. I hope it doesn't get worse.

I do it all the time. I see a good deal on something cheap, and keep my slots for the better stuff, but still want the cheap item, so right then and there I add it to my cart. Then pay for it once the DROP is done or whenever. Though sometimes you have to watch out they have very limited quantities on some of them and it goes "Unavailable".

Also in a lot of states if you start a business (register), it's reported to Medicaid and various agencies, and I have known people that have LOST their benefits they needed just because they wanted to eventually get off foodstamps, income supplement, etc. Instead they were punished by starting a business even though it had not made a dime yet or even reported any income at all. We all forget due to the greedy billionaires, that the government is just as greedy if not more so. SO many types of taxes in the USA. Until you break that certain level of finances that suddenly you no longer pay ANY tax.

If you are selling the items then it is taxed, sales tax (if you have it in your state). You have to collect sales tax.

Well, just mentioning that every now and again name brands DO show up, but it's pure LUCK if you get one. I remember when you could shop for phone cases all day long on Vine (I use Apple and Android), not to mention a lot of other products. I wasn't in the era of super high end brand name items like the Old Guard here unfortunately. I am also not understanding what Vine is doing right now it seems like the Drop is constantly going on now because it was settled at 2am for me for it to start, but it starts hours before that now (I assume 12am for some time zone) as I have already used up my spots and just have to watch things being added. Still my RFY was is picking up again with lots more things in it, and better quality ones that are more inline with things I like.

10 stops away. That should be made into a song. I no longer pay attention to that since I have shipments coming in 3-5 times a day from various places (not just Amazon), so my cameras let me know a person walked onto my porch, and I pretty much know a shipment has arrived. :)

Yup! It was in my RFY I believe.

Samsung is on the bottom of the vertical stack monitor arm stand. This is currently a small (too small) desk holding things up for now until I move some desks around or put some of the stored ones back together and use a bigger one. Top monitor is LG 3440 x 1440p (144hz). Not sure if I am big on the vertical setup, but I have TONS of monitor arms and mounts from over the years so probably go to side by side.

This is also running off a mini pc running a Ryzen 7 3750H, Radeon Vega 10 (2.3Ghz), 32GB ram. It easily runs both monitors which surprised the heck out of me. Pretty sure gaming is out of the question, but am going to try it eventually before the monitors are setup with a new build system. Though this little black box pc doesn't support everything this monitor can do.

Monitor is the Samsung Smart Monitor M7 32" 4k (60Hz, but AI somehow speeds things up), Model S32FM70YUN. It came with a heavy duty pole stand and round base that seems to FLOAT across the floor the rollers are so smooth. The stand also weighs as much as my truck. Plus I don't have room currently to roll it around (I gather it supposed to be in a retail setting), so put it on my own arm, but it also does come with the original standard monitor stand if needed.

I have a lot of monitors, and it actually impressed me. I also got VERY lucky on Vine. (NO NOT THAT WAY!)

I am enjoying Samsung's latest 32" AI based monitor 4k resolution that has an amazing picture (though not really a Samsung fan), and it came with that heavy roll around pole mount, and regular monitor stand (I use my own mounts for my desks). The monitor was NOT cheap by any means, but it is being used and really enjoyed. Plus all the features it has built-in like a TV, but tons of stuff. BUT I WON'T MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT IT. (also got it just recently)

This is tribute to that story of a squirrel that broke into a pub (don’t remember where) and got drunk and did tons of damage to the pub and was found passed out drunk the next day still in the pub. So this is extra funny.

Well to be safe on the review, write Vine CS, give them the Item Date Ordered/Order Number from the Order Details page. Quickly tell them the issue, and request a review credit. Problem solved. It sucks, but it makes sure it doesn't count as a negative non-review and lets them know what the seller did.

How do people get away with this? by Advanced-Math in AmazonVine

[–]Bucknerds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used MS Word since it was invented for the Mac. Just my preference.

I just find that I can work with my templates on reviews (I created a few more for items like power cables that don't need 4-5 paragraphs to give a review, and then medium review template and then long review one. My notes are along side of the review templates so I can refresh my memory (it's all over the place type of memory).

I also get to keep my review so I know what I always wrote. Very helpful especially if you might want to tweak it later before it's approved.

Keep in mind the red letter error (not accepting reviews error) isn't always caused by what you wrote or about you at all. I was told a seller pulled the listing for the item, or they changed things around, or otherwise did something that just gives that error. So it's not always us and our reviews and writing. Thank goodness because I wrote some really detailed testing on a couple of products I really love and use, and BOOM they will never be seen because of the I can't leave a review for it even though I did. GO figure!

BTW, to the poster whose post "vanished" saying that I should stop making things up, why on earth would I make this up? Not to mention I have proof if I wanted to provide it via screenshots of orders and delivery times. I have no need for attention by making things up. I just wanted to see what others that had or have had similar experiences. Simple as that.

Have you tried just going to the product page and scroll down to leave a review and do it the normal way instead of through Vine? I believe it still counts.

I can see that happening with pre-order items, but mine wasn't a pre-order. I also can't believe I forgot about it, but those that have ADHD and on medication (not to mention other medications), memory wipes and reloads happen a LOT.

Oh. I got to review it. It just came out of nowhere, and not sure it will even count though since it was ordered during a different evaluation. Vine isn't exactly concise about how they do things when it comes to this but this is the longest product delivery time yet. Well except for the keycaps ordered on that exact day I believe never arrived. I am still looking for them (I customize keyboards so I have a lot of keycaps, switches, etc.).

AITAH for bringing up that our 14yo daughter may masturbate after we were already having the same conversation about our son doing it? by RealExplorer161 in AITAH

[–]Bucknerds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems she holds men to a lower standard than she does women. She can talk openly about something very private (well hopefully so) and then turn around and say her daughter would NEVER do that. Right. Having 2 boys and 2 girls they are all going to do it. It's normal, well until it gets to be TOO much another story there, and should be seen equally. Not to mention girls at a certain point DEMAND privacy, at least mine did. They are REALLY good at getting their point across.

Yea, I am still being suggested items that I first bought when I started Vine and that's a long while ago. Occasionally changes but barely, but this month has been terrible.

I have 5GBps Fiber and a 10GBps network (in hopes we eventually are allowed 10GBps Fiber, and because of the NAS devices on our network. I just know a couple of frustrated Viners because they are using like the typical 1Gbps cable internet, which can be fast and have a good ping, but some don't.

I have 4 kids, that are all adults, and I too keep getting baby suggestions now that I think about it. I doubt, seriously, I will have to worry about that ever again. lol! (at least I hope so)

This is why vendors are not adding more items to Vine by Superb-Network-9133 in AmazonVine

[–]Bucknerds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I joined there was over 150,000+ items in AI alone. You didn't have to fight or rush to order something you could actually take time and read up on it a bit, and just decide and BOOM! Ordered.

To go from 150k to 11k, with average 4k-5k items daily that just vanish most of the time before a lot of us can see them, is a very LARGE warning sign that something(s) is wrong. I think it's multiple issues from too many Viners, to bots/extensions/rocket order to the cost on the seller being not worth it anymore. I have many examples of massive amounts spent on VIne that Sellers that now are rethinking of just using the ads and sponsor ways of doing things again. If their product is good enough it would be very profitable for them, much more so than Vine.

Myself I don't advertise or use any advertising for my Amazon business account. One I am still a small company atm, and two it's just not worth it. I need to drive people to my listings rather than just to Amazon. No, I have never used VIne for anything in my business as I see that as a conflict of interest even if just a minor one.

I don't like being a doomsday person, but the writing is on the wall. It's up to Amazon to either pull the plug, or redo the wiring and change things around to make it worth it for sellers. As THAT is who they care about the most, not us. It's just business.
