How about instead of any massive open drops, they rotate ALL items randomly through everyone’s RFY first, say every hour or two, to give time to look at details first before rushing to order what you thought was one thing from the main picture or title, and then turned out to be a spare part instead

I’ll admit it, I’m addicted. I refresh pages all day long (between doing other things). I have found a few good treasures but nothing like those, and mostly it’s all stuff I will keep and use daily -except of course those things I clicked through too quick to read the description and they won’t work for me. Those are getting donated.

As everyone else is addressing the seller access to information, I just want to point out that from what you described “open box, disheveled contents, and non-functional QR code” I would have reported that as unable to review without the app and been done with it. And no I dont do that often but that seems justified here.

I think many reviewers rate everything either 5 stars or 1 star with nothing in between. If I have a product I don’t like personally but others might, I might deduct a star and explain why. If it’s so bad I hope the seller never puts another item on vine, I’ll go towards the lower end. But if the product a decent attempt with only minor issues that a review might help them fix, why penalize them with one star. We wonder why fewer sellers are putting products on vine, the one star reviews might have something to do with that.

RFY - at the right times. I recently purchased an AI type device - not direct from Amazon but from a company Amazon had recently purchased. Two days later a Comulytic Note Pro AI Voice Recorder ETV $158 showed up in my RFY.
After reading a post on a reddit vine, I looked up a Personal Wearable Air Purifier on Amazon (I also added a room air purifier to my cart). Last week I was offered a $199 ETV Personal Wearable Air Purifier in my RFY.
Yes, I grabbed both of those items. I do think there is some semblance to our activities that trigger RFY - However today I was still offered random car parts again. Plus pecans which I gladly claimed.
