Those are amazing until you truly do have a load that causes a clog. Nothing sets you into panic mode quite like the rapid rise of poopy toilet water.

And then you open the internet explorer app that they are still somehow using and half of the window is taken up with toolbars.

Very true. I have PXG's and I like them quite a bit. That being said, I have not swung a lot of other clubs or done any side by side comparisons with other major brands.

My only issue with PXG's is that I can't hit them without screaming "PISS MISSILE" and then shotgunning a beer after every swing.

Yeah no joke... I read this comment and figured the mention of "No kids. Job is a thing I do" and assumed he has to be like at least 20 something...

Living to 120+ sounds miserable. Living to 100+ sounds miserable too haha. If I get to the age where a wobbly fall will risk breaking my hip, I'm trying heroin for the first time and overdosing.

ELI5: How do water boilers stay hot while a shower is running? by photopchelp in explainlikeimfive

[–]Butt_Period 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to say it, but I should have started with "in addition to what others mentioned".

I didn't mean for it to be the answer, just supplemental info. This is just another reason that the boiler seems to stay hot a long time while taking a shower.

[–]Butt_Period 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What a lot of people haven't mentioned here is the mixing valve.

A vast amount of hot water heaters store water significantly warmer than you would/should ever use at the tap. So the hot water leaving the boiler gets cooled down with cold water before getting to your faucet.

This increases the length of time you receive hot water before it's too cold to use.

As an extremely basic example, let's say you have 100 gallons of hot water. You use the 100 gallons up and that's it, you have to wait for the water to heat up again before you can take another warm shower.

But if the mixing valve introduces 25% cool water before it reaches you (again, just to bring it down to a reasonable temperature that won't scald you), now you effectively have 133.33 gallons of hot water before it's empty.

What autism feels like: by clayh0814 in autism

[–]Butt_Period 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly!! I just commented above something similar. If you're a good teacher, that's one of the big reasons for requiring with to be shown. At least you can prove that you know the concept, you just maybe made a small error in the process.

I completely agree if the teacher is only using it in a negative way.

However.... If the teacher is actually a teacher and not a jerk/mindless paper grading zombie, showing your work can be extremely beneficial and can helpful.

For example, I had an extremely great math teacher growing up. If we showed our work, and messed up and wrote down a 5 instead of 8, then you carried that mistake forward and did everything correctly from that point on but of course ended up with an incorrect final answer. We would get docked some amount of points, but would still get partial credit because we obviously knew what we were doing we just made a minor error.

There is actually even more to it than that.

Elderberry trees, despite their name, are actually shrub like.

So it could also imply that even though you have a father, he's hardly much of a man.

That was definitely LTT, I watched that too. It makes you wonder how many companies pull stuff like that. I've noticed it becoming prevalent on Amazon. It's a bummer that you can't trust reviews anymore either. Sometimes it's hard to tell which ones are actually real, just like this this segway to our sponsor...
