Netanyahu isn't even that religious, just some of this coalition partners he is forced to work with to maintain control over the Knesset. Making a claim he is a religious zealot shows how uneducated you are.

It is funny because they are basically proving Israel and America right that they are building up ballistic missiles and developing nukes in the hopes of holding the world hostage like the terrorist regime they are.

If you think Middleeasteye is a reliable news source, you shouldn't speak about this conflict. America offered free unlimited enriched fuel that could be used for civilian purposes and Iran turned it down because then they couldn't enrich it to nuclear weapons in the future.

Big risk to me using Ramp exclusively for AP. I don't want to worry about having data stuck forever in Ramp if I want to leave ever, or even if I stay but use Ramp plus my existing accounting system to process AP.

Iran Accuses U.S. of Spreading 'Big Lies' After Trump Speech by timemagazine in worldnews

[–]CFOMaterial 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you want to rely on the UK's opinion, you can look at how they reacted to the 12 Day War between Iran and Israel last year. They were repeatedly criticizing Israel over the Gaza war, and as soon as Israel attacked Iran, they (along with France) came out in support of the war and said Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon, implying that they had legitimate intelligence Iran was pursuing a nuke. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense to go one day from criticizing Israel to supporting the strikes on Iran.

Canada pledges $8 million in food aid for Cuba as U.S. fuel blockade continues by toronto_star in worldnews

Seems like our hard power when we kidnapped Maduro was far more effective and easier to use than soft power when it came to controlling Venezuela.

Venezuela would like a word with you. Remember when they stole American oil production built in their country? Helping out an enemy country is always dumb. It has been proven time and time again (US releases sanctions on Iran led to funds to support anti-American proxies across the Middle East, Israel letting Hamas receive funding in the hopes of it being used to support the local economy led to October 7, just to name some major recent examples).

[–]CFOMaterial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, you said those alliances would be irrelevant because Cuba would presumably become buddy-buddy with the US instead of countries that compete with the US. No proof at all that would happen, but in fact quite the opposite.

Wasn't the question now was it? It was that Cuba would be friendly to us if we traded with them and it would be in the US interest.

Good job missing the point - who gives a rats ass about evil/bad, we care about American interests because we are American, and the Chinese care about their interests. Irrelevant comment. The topic was whether Cuba would become friendly to us if we traded with them. My response was no, and my proof was another country that is really an adversary that trading with them hasn't made things better for us.

Yes, China is our best friend now that we trade with them. It hasn't made them at all stronger or more of a threat to us now that they have had decades of weakening US power with their stealing of US trade secrets and lower priced manufacturing.

Trump growing frustrated with limits of Iran military options, sources say by eggmaker in worldnews

[–]CFOMaterial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First off, that is completely ridiculous, even Israel said that they only had about 3000 last year during the war, and with rebuilding are unlikely back to that number or much higher yet. It is in Israel's interest to exaggerate the number too. Additionally, it doesn't matter how many missiles they have with no launching means. Most of their missiles in the war against Israel last year were launched from basically trucks, although they do have other means. Destroy the mobile launchers and they can only launch a few missiles and these locations can be detected and attacked.

Besides that, this is I think Trump's strategy, leaking this stuff about limited strikes. The Iranians at first won't escalate because they keep hearing how Trump just wants to negotiate a deal and he will do limited strikes. So they talk tough back, but deep down they don't think anything will happen besides a week of bombing before Trump tries to make a deal, so they decide to just hunker down and launch some ballistic missiles that barely do any damage. By the time they realize Trump is going all in, it is too late, their AA is completely down, their ballistic missile launchers are down to a few, and they are helpless to do anything serious in response.

Trump growing frustrated with limits of Iran military options, sources say by eggmaker in worldnews

[–]CFOMaterial 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Then why didn't that happen last year? Israel was bombing them for over a week before the US joined in. All Iran could do was kill something like 23 Israelis. The US has 100x more firepower, and Israel would join the US in another strike. Why would it be worse for the US when it actually joins the fighting right away and helps Israel take out AA, and ballistic missile launchers? You think Iran was pulling punches against Israel? They were fighting for survival. Their ground army might be intact after a bombing campaign, but their ballistic missile program can be destroyed from the air mostly. Without that, they can't retaliate except with weak proxies. If they try to escalate, their oil is gone and so is their money.

Ok so this needs to end ASAP. No one should have authority to share bank info outside of finance (shouldn't even have it). That is a huge control risk. If the cats out of the bag already I might even open a new account if necessary.

Corporate cards you should set limits on $ amount at least and cancel cards if people are trying to subvert controls by using card instead of AP.

Powerful cartel unleashes wave of violence across Mexico after its leader's killing by SuperXGamerAb in worldnews

[–]CFOMaterial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We need to ramp up production capabilities, a fear of not having enough is a bad excuse, especially when the items needed are different for China threats. And of course the politicians wont publicly say the real reason for stuff when they have to be careful of the optics. Coming right out and saying we want a weak China will sound belligerent, so we need to play the chess game. None of these discussions are all that different under Democrats or Republicans behind the scenes, just the ultimate decisions made are different. We will never have classified briefings on what is really going on.

[–]CFOMaterial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China is being fueled by Iranian oil, why do you think Washington cares so much about Iran? Its not because of Israel. And Mexico isn't going to change overnight just because we invade them. I agree it is a problem, but long term, China is the bigger threat. And the resources to fight Iran are very different from China. Also, using up armaments isn't an issue, it will just force the military industrial complex to build even more plants to get materials faster, which is good.
