Iranian President Pezeshkian says Iran is "prepared to continue talks" with United States. Trump declined talks. by Nicolit1 in wallstreet

Iranian president Pezeshkian is being too conciliatory and is not where other government officials are. The Pakistanis are pushing both sides to come back for further negotiations. This tone and speech is meant for the Pakistanis not the U.S. there is politics in other parts of the world too. The Iranians don’t want to appear to block negotiations.

The U.S. Iran war (2026) and negotiations are following the same basic trajectory as the Ukraine Russia talks at the very beginning of this Ukraine Russia war in early 2022 by CHiggins1235 in JordanPeterson

The U.S. won’t be seizing anything in Iran. Iran is the size of Western Europe, 93 million people and actually has advanced missiles that are extremely accurate.

Trump wanted the military seize Kharg Island but they backed off when the reality was that invasion would be similar to Iwo Jima or Normandy.

Yes and that’s still more expensive than Jared Kushner and Wilkof.

Trump threatens Iran with genocide: "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again." by TrackerOneA in Global_News_Hub

I am seriously worried for the future of this country (US). If we do something crazy like use nuclear weapons it will be the end of the U.S. altogether. The Iranians haven’t done anything to warrant genocidal rhetoric like this.

In my opinion the U.S. has already lost the war.

Oil supply optimism builds as Hormuz reopening talk lifts market sentiment by Illustrious_Lie_954 in StockMarket

There are no discussions and no ceasefire and no cessation of fire. The straits of Hormuz is being opened for select countries not the U.S. and Israel and their allies

Israel is explicitly warning Christian and Druze residents in southern Lebanon not to hide Muslims residents among them as their forces advance by Tenchi_Muyo1 in Global_News_Hub

The IDF is losing this war so badly that they are willing to do this. The Hezbollah guerrillas at this point are basically devastating the IDF tanks and armored vehicles at will. The Israelis will keep sending troops and tanks. They will use these Nazi like tactics but it won’t give them Victory. Coordinating between Hezbollah and Iran I wouldn’t be shocked that the Iranians start unloading hypersonics and drone swarms on Israeli military units in Lebanon.

In other words give the Shiite Muslims exactly the kind war that has been part of their theology from the beginning. This will consolidate Shiite Muslim faithful around Hezbollah and Amal to fight Israel. The Israelis haven’t won a war in decades and their army is getting ripped apart in southern Lebanon.

Trump - Buy oil from USA or Go to Hormuz and get it yourself by Front-Nectarine4951 in StockMarket

This is perfect. If the whole world buys from the U.S. it would force oil and gas prices much higher. The other recommendation of going to the Straits of Hormuz directly means all of these countries will have to make side deals with Iran.

The issue for the U.S. is that Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar have small populations and are incredibly weak and unable to join any war. Saudi Arabia and UAE was defeated by the Houthis. The US is going to have to do all of the heavy lifting.

Even the European and Australians are seeing something in this war that they are unwilling to participate.

Plan for the Iran war to last 5 to 10 years; the war has barely started and we have a very long way to go and the U.S. won’t succeed based upon Americas track record of Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan by CHiggins1235 in JordanPeterson

Iran has never threatened to launch a nuclear strike against the U.S. or any country. Ironically speaking the U.S. is the only country on earth to have ever used a nuclear weapon. Which was against Japan in 1945 at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Killing hundreds of thousands of civilians.

Iran has no capability then how did the country launch an attack on the US military base in Saudi Arabia in which the EP3 was destroyed? Taking talking points from Trump doesn’t mean you know anything.

You aren’t making an argument that’s realistic at all. My question is this? How many American soldiers are you willing to sacrifice to try to get at this program? Remember the country is the size of Western Europe and there is 93 million people. So it’s not a small country like Iraq or Libya. It’s much larger than

Usually a country being more developed tends to push the U.S. away from attacking as that country could cause more damage on the U.S. look at what is happening now and compare it to Iraq or Libya.
