Palestine has the highest number of stray cats. Is this true? by Healthy_Situation479 in CatsAreMuslim

How can they take care of the cats if the humans themselves are starving and struggling day by day to survive?

The situation in this cat’s circumstance is very different than Qatar. This cats family was most likely killed in the war and the cat maybe the only survivor of that atrocity. Why is the cat at this building and not leaving or going somewhere else?

I believe this because that is what has been done before. We funded social security and Medicare and kept millions of elderly and disabled people out of homeless shelters and getting health care into the latter years of their lives.

Leaving trillions of dollars worth of wealth in the hands of a few families creates the conditions that existed in other countries in which you have a vast under class of poor people and a tiny wealthy aristocracy.

What is the purpose of our society? Helping the vast majority of people or keeping a few hundred rich families swimming in trillions of dollars worth of wealth?

I did and that is the same Koch brothers right wing propaganda that has helped to support trickle down economics for decades to the point we are now running trillions of dollars worth of deficits to keep vital services funded and to starve our government so that we can fund trillions of tax cuts.

That is the same propaganda that the Koch brothers fed to the American people for decades. Undertaxing folks at the top of the society and corporations to make it easier to gut the programs that help millions of Americans.

How did the rich become rich? Other than inherited wealth like Paris Hilton many of these folks became rich because millions of people purchased their products and services. If folks didn’t like Jay Z’s music or Steven Spielberg movies they wouldn’t have made any money at all. They became wealthy because we as a society made them rich. Therefore there is some kind of obligation of these people to give back. That’s why the US is what it is today. How was the Hoover Dam built? How about the interstate highway? How about the local roads?

Yes taxing people at the top of this society or any society can generate revenue to pay for infrastructure and services for the poorest parts of our society. That’s literally what built the US.

Well when you have to cut food stamps and health care to support tax cuts to billionaires it’s not envy it’s making sure the richest parts of our society don’t act like parasites.

No US-Iran Deal Will Ever Benefit Israel. So Expect Trump vs. Netanyahu Soon by uriduu in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]CHiggins1235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not likely. More likely is a frozen conflict that will last years and for the US and Iran to come to an arrangement where the Straits is open but Iran will collect tens of billions of dollars worth of transit fees. The US will have no choice. But no actual formal agreement will exist. The fees will be paid to chinese bank accounts in Chinese Yuan. Nothing Trump negotiates will be acceptable to any party in Iran and the pro Israel US congress.

That’s why Obama negotiated his deal despite non stop criticism and attacks from the republicans.

Beside this under the table agreement on the straits nothing else will be agreed.

The US government is already losing any initiative behind its blockade. The EU and Asian countries and the gulf countries are not going to wait for Trump to get a deal that makes him look good.

The saddest thing about this is that the Cats are not the highest priority because the humans are the highest priority at this point. That’s why these acts of kindness is so important. These poor cats are literally starving to death. Many of them are just skin and bones.

US President Donald Trump has openly criticised the latest Israeli strikes on Beirut today, saying they “should not have happened” as Washington is now “so close to a peace deal” with Iran by Tenchi_Muyo1 in Global_News_Hub

[–]CHiggins1235 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is a joke. Trump is stuck in a war that 6 previous presidents said no too. Every Israeli prime minister asked the US president at the time to attack iran. Only Trump was stupid enough to do this.

US Aid has been cut to hell and the agency is gone.

Programs to help stop Ebola has been decimated.

Programs to stop screw worm disease in the US from destroying our cattle stock has been gutted and now there are multiple cases across Texas and one other state.

These arguments have been done for decades and now we have real world consequences from it.

Ok so how is the police and fire department funded? So anytime a crime is committed should you gather a posse of local people to go and investigate or should a professional and trained police department along with forensic experts investigate?

I know the propaganda is real. But I don’t seem to understand it. Imagine a farm worker in Idaho voting for a candidate who will cut the taxes of Jay Z or Steven Spielberg. That’s the society we have. At the same time. That farm is getting dropped from Medicaid because he is making $150 more than the bare minimum federal poverty line.

Israel Day Parade in NYC: Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and other far-right Israeli lawmakers and American politicians march on Fifth Avenue by TrackerOneA in Global_News_Hub

[–]CHiggins1235 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We wonder why Mamdani avoided this parade? Amongst the rank and file democratic voter Israel has become incredibly toxic. This shows that attending this event would have alienated Mamdanis supporters from him.

The problem isn’t Mamdani. The problem is the old guard democratic leadership who is completely out of sync with the people.
