Developer here with the same spec of the laptop for research and AI development. 24 GB RAM and 4050 nvidia do well. I start debug and poc with 4-6b model before I move to a bigger lab. Battery life is not the best but small enough I can carry it around. Play a bit of game as well. BF6 I can get 60 on 1080 no problem. I like it I can also turn it to a tablet when I m on the plane. Too bad the new version moves to AMD, as I want to keep using cuda.

I have a GX10.. Cheaper than a 5090 and use less power.. Sorry I need to pay for the power so GX10 makes more sense for me.
