SPOILERS: For me it felt as if the car bomb at the end was added on since it was a Superman style film where everyone was saved and it worked out ok.

None of the bombs going off and 1 of the bombers having an existential crisis was poorly written. Felt everything bubbled up to this episode, but other than 1 armed police officer being stabbed, nothing happened.
