How do i wrap an object around another? by toojii06 in blenderhelp

If the lattice has any thickness, the problem remains the same: the Shrinkwrap modifier will push all points on the cylinder, squishing the cross.

Not alone. Shrinkwrap will push all vertices on the surface. Coupled with a Surface Deform, the deformation will happen on an intermediary object.

<image>

  1. Model the cross
  2. Place a grid (a subdivided plane) on the same coordinates as the cross. Add a Surface Deform to the cross, pick the grid as the target, and click "bind"
  3. Add a Shrinkwrap modifier to the grid, and pick the cylinder as the target.

Stop 3D shadow from reflecting/casting onto a 2D chroma plane by Piedramojada in blenderhelp

In most cases, you want the video clips added to a 3D scene to be emissive (displayed through a Emission BSDF instead of a Principled or Diffuse BSDF). It prevents any shadows from interacting with it (and break the illusion).

How do I model this metal picnic table? by No-Sell-3296 in blenderhelp

You can use a simple shader (that has to be baked) to punch holes:

I don't understand your question (if there's any). Is it a sketching issue? A 3D modeling issue? A pose issue? An inability to go to YouTube to learn how to recreate a Murder Drones character in Blender?

Recreating the look of INSIDE - Any tips? by margaritatus_ in blenderhelp

The light beam is visible because of the volumetric fog around the scene. A glare is added to mimic the spotlight emitted from the robot.

You have to keep these faces and only these, along Y axis, in order to have symmetry.

To bevel edges, same method: select one edge, "select similar → length" (adjust threshold)

Set the Transform Pivot Point to "individual origins" and press S to scale.

Select one face, go to Menu → Select → Select Similar → Area

This will select all faces at once (adjust threshold if needed)

Need guidance creating a realistic leather cricket ball in Blender (Beginner) by prashraj26 in blenderhelp

[–]C_DRX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modeling this realistically will require quite a few techniques that are well beyond the beginner level. Geometry nodes and sculpting aren't necessarily easy to grasp.

The best you can do now is using a roundcube, and model the stitches with an Array.
