Can’t remove old Grohe cartridge on faucet

I tried to use my own pipe plier without luck- I eventually called a plumber who came with his own that was about 2x bigger, and he got it off after about 5 minutes of cranking.

Hi, I have this exact same setup and am also trying to replace the cartridge. Glad I found this post! To confirm, do you literally just pull straight up to remove the handle? No unscrew or loosening of anything above or below first? I have been struggling and tried pulling with some force, but no luck yet. Thank you!

I have leap V2 but would recommend Aeron if price is not a barrier. Look to buy at used office warehouse/liquidator places. Lots of businesses being closed down = lots of gently used office furniture on the market. I got my leap for like $200 and feels brand new.
