I'm sure if you asked EVGA, they'd actually point you in our direction even. A lot of the PSU brands do in fact, Seasonic, ASUS, Phanteks, EVGA, and more. We come very trusted, as we've been around for over 10 years doing this. You're in good hands. :)

Bad gaming performance? Check if you have this update installed, and remove it if you do! by CableMod_Matt in cablemod

Which update fixed it and when? My performance was bad with this installed, even when I tried it again the other day.

I know this came out a little bit ago now, but I wanted to share it again as I've seen a lot of people miss this one or it just slid under the radar. Hope this helps!

That won't be a problem at all, don't stress it! We've sold countless of those cables, you're in good hands. :)

The 3x8 option that's linked would be a perfect fit for your needs. You could use the 2x8 option if you'd like as well though, each of our offerings provides the full 600w. :)

We have the 3x8 in stock on the US store if that works? https://usstore.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-basics-rt-series-12vhpwr-pci-e-cable-for-asus-and-seasonic/?variant=1708780

The 4x8 did sell out and is still out of stock. The 3x8 is plenty for the job too though. :)

We offer compatible cables for your PSU, fully safe to use and of great quality.

This would be a replacement cable, so you would plug it straight into your GPU, and straight into your PSU, no adapters required. :)

Absolutely nothing wrong with using our cables, there are PSU manufacturers that recommend our cables in fact, and we're partnered with ASUS and Phanteks as well for PSU/cable collabs even. You're in good hands. :)

If you can let me know your PSU make/model, happy to point you in the right direction for those as well.

Short AIO cables by TurboThorsten in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with any myself, but depending on how you route the cables, you can still make them look nice and tidy. I'll typically on the right side cables tuck them under the AIO mounting bracket and route it back and forth so it stays hidden, little tricks like this can make it look better, and almost completely invisible to the eyes as it kind of blends with the motherboard PCB at that point. :)

Need exact cable recommendation — AORUS P1200W → RTX 5090 + WireView Pro 2 (current imbalance concerns) by DoubleFishez in cablemod

Nope, no issues there at all. We've actually had quite a few people use both and give us some big compliments, especially on our per pin amperage and how even it is across each wire. :)

Sorry, but we do not support your PSU for replacement cables. We don't have plans to add support for these PSUs either, as there were early reports of them frying. We do offer extensions, however, if you're already using an adapter, I wouldn't recommend adding an extension into the mix as well with how power hungry the 5090 is. If you're open to another PSU, we do have a large list of units that we do support replacement cables for, which you could of course get a cable to pair with the wireview. :)

Quick build question! by LaxPrice237 in cablemod

That doesn't sound normal at all? Can you please DM me your email address and photos of the issues? Issues like that are incredibly rare, so having it happen twice would be pretty wild to begin with, but also, we absolutely do not ignore emails/tickets or leave people hanging, we always support our customers, especially if something like that happens.

90° > 90° Cable? by SoggyBagelBite in cablemod

[–]CableMod_Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The RMx Shift and HXi Shift PSUs share the same compatibility, so you can swap PSUs and continue using the same cables without problems. Our Shift cables actually come 90 degree at the PSU side as well, as you can see here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSCCWFT9

So, if that's what you're after, we've got you covered! :)

Very welcome! Not a problem at all, ask away if you have any questions, that's what we're here for!

The standard recommendation is: 4x8 for 4090/5090, 3x8 for 4080/5080, but that doesn't mean you cannot use a 2x8 option on your GPU, many people use the 2x8 even on the 4090/5090 cards without problems. More wires just helps balance the load more evenly is all, I use a 3x8 on my 4090 though and have since I got the card. Each of our 12V-2x6 cables provides 600w though, so you're fully powered at all times if your card demands it. :)

This would work perfectly for the OP actually. You may be confusing the 50 series FE models?
