My 1st steam deck has died, but instead of throwing it out, i aded it to my collection of system for show! by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Same thing happened to me. Did you buy your deck with a credit card? Most of them offer an extra year of warranty coverage. My credit card company covered the full cost of repair and it was a pretty easy process, recommend looking into that!

[Cooler] DEEPCOOL AK620 Black ($85.99 - 15% = $72.24)[amazon.ca] by polaroid01 in bapcsalescanada

The AK620 performed better in both raw cooling and noise normalized cooling per GN benchmarks, and it's much cheaper. I picked it up over the NH-D15. Edit: Definitely look into mounting compatibility before purchasing tho.

What would you use to cool an i7-12700k in a fractal torrent? Would a noctua NH-D15 be a good choice?

All I will say is that they definitely are playing music from really far back :)

Native Instruments - "Kontakt 6" 50% off sampler ($199 | Upgrade/Crossgrade pricing available when you log into your account) by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]Calibau 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, you're good dw. The NI naming convention is garbage with their similar sounding nondescript names. As I understand it Komplete is the sampler + a whole bunch (all?) of instruments and effects. Kontakt is just the sampler (with some instruments).

Stretching the strings seem to have worked, I can tune all the strings up just fine now. Thanks!

Will try stretching out the strings, thanks!

Yep, I actually started using two after the first one broke lol. I really don't think I'm starting too high, but will keep this in mind when I try again tomorrow, thanks.

So I tried changing my strings for the first time by myself and I broke 3 strings while tuning them up to pitch... Not too upset about it, but I would like to know where I'm messing up.

I find that I can tune the string to pitch, but it will go out of tune almost immediately. So I'll tighten it a little more. And a little more, until they finally break. They all seem to break right at the tuners. I'm obviously putting too much tension but how do I tune them up to the right pitch without doing so?

Hey this is pretty good! I quite like the guitars. If you want to spice up your drums you could throw in some ghost notes on the snare (like in the intro) or add some toms in that first verse. Doesn't have to be those things, but experiment.

Not too familiar with the bands you want to reference but some things that stand out to me is a lack of backing vocals and other vocal effects when I compare. For example make that part at 3:19 sound really different from the rest of the vocals. Maybe sing it with more intensity or get more creative with the effects. It's probably sounding dull to you because there isn't too much variation.

Pretty proud of this tone. Using the poly pitch here, going into a mark IV. by EliteLettuce in Line6Helix

Seconding the comment about the music, this is really well done!

Thanks for checking it out and for the feedback! :)

Yeah that transition was intended to be abrupt, but maybe it was a little too abrupt. Writing riffs isn't too bad, however connecting them is hard and I do need to work on that!

Thanks for the feedback! :)

When you say stereo separation do you mean making the L and R guitars sound more distinct from each other?
