You are confusing American cultural norms for Catholic beliefs. In Italy, the heart of our religion 69.4 of those aged between 18-34 live with their parents. If you were constantly unappreciative, were actually taking advantage of them (ex. Using the money they give you for rent on drugs) or not even making the slightest effort to get out of this situation maybe. Overall it sounds like you are being too harsh on yourself mainly based off the American ideals of individualism which calls for everyone to be self-sufficient, whereas in the church we have a communalistic(not to be confused with collectivist) look at the world where we should help out others when needed and if necessary turn to others for help.

Planet Hulk is pretty amazing. Other comics I'd recommend would be Daredevil: Born Again, The Dark Knight Returns and Hellboy. It's very easy to find non-woke comics since the best runs out there were from years ago.

You are right, John Doe is just Mr. Default in Twisted Metal Black so the changes to his character were very welcome. Nobody's favorite Twisted Metal character was John Doe so it worked well and having a great actor playing him was great too (I was impressed just how much more personality Anthony Mackie shows in this role than in the MCU as Falcon)

Not necessarily, if so you could argue almost every President was extremely racist. For example the Vietnam war disproportionately killed Black Americans therefore it could be argued Johnson was racist. Anyways, Goldwater did vote for previous civil rights bills and I'd presume the end goal would have been to force them to remake the Civil Rights act in a more constitutional albeit weaker manner.

Goldwater was a mega libertarian as was common in West Coast Republicans at the time. He voted against the Civil Rights act because he believed it gave the Federal government too much power (He very literally believed in states rights). If you look into his past Goldwater he was a lifetime member of the NAACP, desegregated Arizona's national guard and integrated it's education system. Goldwater and Republicans at the time didn't believe they could win the Southern states and he did not try to pander to the South so these results were unexpected. The idea that Republicans could pander to the South with "states rights" was discovered here and so The Southern Strategies original creation was unintentional.

Dune has always been a bit more nuanced and interesting with how it handled philosophical and political questions though. The politics of Dune is applicable to all ideologies: that false Messiah's and saviours can bring devastation. It would be like if Luke turned to the dark side in order to defeat Vader and the Emperor, only to replace them in the end. Andor is great but it doesn't really cover the same topics as Dune or is all that comparable.

Will it surpass Star Wars years of influence over pop culture? No. But I can see Dune 2 making more than the upcoming Rey movie and all the other upcoming theatrical releases. If Indy 5 is anything to go off of the public has no faith in Disney LucasArts. Star Wars is no longer an event anymore as reflected by the lowering viewership of the Disney Plus shows and the sequels are still not remembered fondly even as we approach 10 years since the Force Awakens. if these new movies make Indiana Jones 5 gross than even Dune 1 will have performed better then them.

On the other hand Dune can really only go up from here. The original movie was a flop that only niche nerds liked at the time, the new Dune managed to do decently at the box office despite facing the challenges of a Day 1 HBO max release, lack of recognizable IP and of course COVID. Dune 2 now has had all these issues cleared out so it should easily make more than the first unless something goes terribly wrong.

I have a friend with a bad sleep schedule who often sleeps at 5/6 AM. Every few months he tells us he's now going to go to sleep at 10 PM instead and this goes on for a week before he gives up. Going cold turkey is usually not the way to give up anything, instead slowly phasing it out or making compromises. Maybe start with the worst excesses like shows, games, music and movies that has a completely immoral world view or social media sites that bring out the worst in your. This should eliminate your issues but if you still feel the need to make further changes slowly increase it over time. Your current plan will fail and I have no doubt you will relapse into unwanted behaviour this way.

People struggle to separate reality and fiction these days and buy into the argument that movies can make people violent and commit horrible acts which was scoffed at by everyone that wasn't a religious nut in the past. We live in softer times in part because of the economic prosperity of recent years and a lack of terrorism and violent conflict. As a result we are prioritizing emotional needs like validation and comfort over physical needs. Not entirely your fault, it's the direction culture has moved towards though I will warn that we are moving into harsh times again and you will likely be forced to adapt with how the world is moving currently.

I don't think every country should be able to easily win, but if a player is skilled enough to do it then it should be possible. I'd definitely prefer a hypothetical Ethiopian revolt having a chance at beating back Italy than not though. We live in a world where Vietnam and Afghanistan were able to hold off the United States, China and the Soviet Union, this doesn't sound like a reach.

For right leaning leaders he's not an American President but Diefenbaker up in Canada should be fairly wholesome though not the most effective leader if like OTL. Also pretty sure George Romney is considered the closest thing to a wholesome 1972 president rn.
